Menperin: Indonesia Market Leader Batik In The World PDF Print E-mail

The national batik industry now has competitive and competitive competitiveness in the average bag of the world, and make Indonesia as the market leader who dominates the world batik market. In addition, the batik industry also has an important role for the national economy.

 

This was stated by the Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto when opening the event of Gelel batik Nusantara 2017 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta (7/6/2017).

 

"Currently we are still fighting in the global competition, especially how the batik is becoming mainstream of fashion and lifestyle development, not only in the domestic market but also in the global market," said Airlangga Hartarto.

 

He added that the current product or apparel market reached RP442 billion, surely this is a wide-open opportunity where Indonesia has improved batik not only as a product that is based on culture but also encourages batik as a lifestyle product that certainly provides high added value.

 

Based on Kemenperin records, exports of batik and batik products in 2016 reached USD 149.9 million, with major export markets including Japan, the United States and Europe. In addition, the batik industry can also absorb labor to reach 15 thousand people in 101 centers IKM.

 

As it was known on October 2, 2009, UNESCO has established Indonesian batik as 'Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity'. "Make this recognition as a generator of national craftsmen and industry to continue to develop its business, so as to improve the welfare of the community," explained Minister of Industry.

 

According to Airlangga, the Ministry of Industry continues to improve the competence of human resources (HR) through improving product quality, standardization of machinery, and provide opportunities to craftsmen and batik entrepreneurs to market through exhibition forums.

 

"In addition, we also encourage batik craftsmen to enter IKM's digital e-smart program, which is expected to encourage SMEs to enter the international market," he said.

 

On that occasion, Minister of Industry also gave appreciation and appreciation to Yayasan Batik Indonesia which consistently preserves batik through various activities. One of them with activities 'National Batik title 2017'.

 

"It is expected that this event can further promote the national batik industry which is the cultural heritage of native objects of Indonesia," concluded Airlangga.

 

 

 

Menperin: Indonesia Jadi Market Leader Batik Dunia

 

 

Industri batik nasional saat ini telah memiliki daya saing komparatif dan kompetitif di tas rata-rata dunia, dan menjadikan Indonesia sebagai market leader yang menguasai pasar batik dunia. Selain itu, industri batik juga memiliki peran penting bagi perekonomian nasional.

 

Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Menteri Perindustrian, Airlangga Hartarto saat membuka acara Gelar batik Nusantara 2017 di Jakarta Convention center (JCC), Jakarta 97/6/2017).

 

"Saat sekarang ini kita masih berperang dalam persaingan global terutama bagaimana mendudukan batik ini menjadi mainstream dari pengembangan fashion dan lifestyle, tidak hanya di pasar domestik tetapi juga di pasar global," ungkap Airlangga Hartarto.

 

Ia menambahkan, saat ini produk ataupun market pakaian jadi mencapai RP442 miliar, tentunya ini merupakan peluang yang terbuka lebar dimana Indonesia sudah meningkatkan batik bukan hanya sebagai produk yang berbasis budaya tetapi juga mendorong batik sebagai produk lifestyle yang tentunya memberikan nilai tambah tinggi.

 

Berdasarkan catatan Kemenperin, ekspor batik dan produk batik pada tahun 2016 mencapai USD 149,9 juta, dengan pasar ekspor utama antara lain Jepang, Amerika Serikat, dan Eropa. Selain itu, Industri batik juga dapat menyerap tenaga kerja mencapai 15 ribu orang di 101 sentra IKM.

 

Seperti diketahui pada tanggal 2 Oktober 2009, UNESCO telah mengukuhkan batik Indonesia sebagai 'Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity'. "Jadikan pengakuan ini sebagai pembangkit semangat para pengrajin dan industri nasional untuk terus mengembangkan usahanya, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat," terang Menperin.

 

Menurut Airlangga, kementerian Perindustrian terus berupaya meningkatkan kompetensi sumber daya manusia (SDM) melalui peningkatan kualitas produk, standarisasi permesinan, maupun memberikan kesempatan kepada para pengrajin maupun pengusaha batik untuk memasarkan melalui forum-forum pameran.

 

"Selain itu, Kami juga mendorong para pengrajin batik untuk masuk ke program digital e-smart IKM. Program ini diharapkan bisa mendorong IKM memasuki pasar Imnternasional," ucapnya.

 

Pada kesempatan itu, Menperin juga memberikan penghargaan dan apresiasi kepada Yayasan Batik Indonesia yang secara konsisten melestarikan batik melalui berbagai kegiatan. Salah satunya dengan kegiatan 'Gelar Batik Nasional 2017'.

 

"Diharapkan dengan adanya event ini dapat lebih memajukan lagi industri batik nasional yang merupakan warisan budaya tak benda asli Indonesia," tutup Airlangga.
