Gati explained that as a first step, cotton planting was done on 13 hectares of land by Directorate General of Plantation, Kementan in West Mollo Subdistrict and previously in May 2017 has been made a demonstration plot by Research and Development Center on 3 hectares of land in the same sub- .

Furthermore, the Directorate General of IKM Kemenperin will provide assistance in designing and ginning machine equipment and weaving machines to the weaving center in South Central Timor District which is a follow up of the mentoring program in 2016.

"Kementan is ready to prepare its raw materials and Kemenperin help some machines to produce cotton," said Gati. According to him, the granting of machines with a budget of around Rp 400 million is a project Pilot.

"If this is successful, we will supply throughout Indonesia, while the program is centered in South Central Timor District which focuses on two centers, namely Boti and Nasi Subdistrict," said Gati.

Penggerak Ekonomi, Industri Tenun Terus Dikembangkan
