Demand of Indonesian textile industry in the last three years has decreased. Recorded demand for the textile industry fell from USD13 billion fell to USD11, 8 billion.

Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat said although in the last three years decreased, but in the first half of 2017 increased demand for the textile industry. The increase is 0.6%.

According to Ade, the increasing demand for textiles in the first half of 2017 is open due to rising demand for the United States and Europe. It is Indonesia's textile demand that continues to increase.

"Indeed, within three years the city has dropped from USD 13 billion to USD 11.8 billion, but from January to June there was a 0.6% increase, but this is not because of rising US and European demand. Indonesia can go up, "he said when met at the Ibis Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday.

According to Ade, with the increasing demand in this semester, make the perpetrators of the Indonesian textile industry re-excited. So it is great for improving competitiveness both locally and internationally. "The competitiveness is getting better," he explained

Previously, exports of textile and textile products (TPT) Indonesia in January-February 2017 reached USD2 billion. Or an increase of 3% over the same period the previous year.

3 Tahun Alami Penurunan, Industri Tekstil Akhirnya Bergeliat
