Non-oil and gas goods entering West Java in July 2017. West Java Provincial Statistics Agency (BPS) Head Dody Herlando said imports of non-oil and gas goods to West Java in July rose 78.92 percent from June's USD0.60 billion .

"Imports of non-oil products in July are very high, usually only in the range of 900 million dollars, but this could be over 1 billion dollars," Dody said in Bandung.

According to him, the increase of non-oil and gas imports. In general, all the main items have positive growth. From year to year, there are two groups that experienced negative growth, namely groups of vehicles and parts and aircraft and parts.

"The highest export from China amounted to USD333.12 million, followed by Japan USD168.05 million, replace South Korea USD156.38 million, I hope high non-oil imports to West Java is for export orientation," he explained.

Nevertheless, although imports of goods increased, West Java was able to record export performance is quite positive. Where, the total value of exports Jabar during January-July 2017, oil and gas and non-oil and gas reached USD16, 22 billion. The largest export on the perode was non-oil and gas USD16.07 billion. The remaining Rp149 million, oil and gas exports.

The most expensive exports of vehicles and components for non-oil exports amounted to USD2.52 billion. Followed by machines and electronics.

According to Dody, some countries that remain the largest export market for West Java are the United States, Japan, and Thailand. During July, exports to the United States Jabar USD435, 39 million and to Japan USD244, 84 million.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of Indonesian Textile Association (API) Jabar, Kevin Hartanto won, the government policy tightened the entry of imported products in the form of yarn and obstacle products for the domestic industry. Industry, he continued, felt the increase in demand in the last two months.

"Tanah Abang is automatically dependable, now it is starting to ask for products from the domestic industry because imported products are now hard to come by. We benefit from the policy," he explained.

Alluded to the increase of cotton importation, he added, it is expected that fresh air for the Indonesian textile industry. Spinning is expected to grow as market demand grows. "That's good, the spinning industry is back on track," Kevin added.

Disusul Jepang sebesar USD168,05 juta, diikuti Korea Selatan sebesar USD156,38 juta.

Pemintalan diharapkan semakin berkembang seiring tumbuhnya permintaan pasar. "Itu bagus, artinya industri pemintalan kembali menggeliat," imbuh Kevin.
