The non-profit trade association promoting Cotton USA's products and products from Cotton Council International (CCI), encourages industry industries in Indonesia to establish better trade relations, through national textile conferences, Indonesia Cotton Day, in Jakarta.

President of CCI, Eduardo Esteve, said the conference aims to support the textile industry in developing its capacity for a wider market.

"Through this conference, we hope to deliver the latest information about Cotton USA to 100 executives from various textile factories in Indonesia, as well as information about this product to the fashion and textile community in Indonesia," Esteve said.

This high quality product, Esteve said, has been used by many global fashion brands, as the base material for the manufacture of various garment clothing. That, he added, including the number of fashion brands that already exist in Indonesia.

"With a good understanding of the high quality of American cotton, it certainly will help the industry players in choosing materials that are suitable for use," he added.

Meanwhile, CCI Executive Director Bruce Atherley said that cotton produced more than 18,000 family farmers who have understood the land for decades.

"Becomes the largest producer in the world, or about 15 percent of the world's total cotton production," he said.

According to Bruce, US cotton fiber exports to Indonesia alone ranges from US $ 400 million to US $ 500 million per year.

"The value, depending on the price fluctuations in cotton prices, is often up and down," he added.

In the present day Indonesia Cotton Today, three Indonesian textile factories using US cotton licensed Cotton USA also showcased its fashion brand. The three factories are PT Apac Inti Corpora, PT Argo Pantes, and PT Lucky Print Abadi.

Menurut Bruce, ekspor serat kapas AS ke Indonesia sendiri berkisar di angka US$ 400 juta hingga US$ 500 juta per tahun.
