Textiles and textile products in Indonesia are still considered to be a prospective commodity and can boost the national economy, even though its prestige has declined in a few years.

 

"Indonesia is still a strategic and important country as a producer of textiles and textile products by taking two percent in the world market," said CEO and Co-Founder of 88Spares.com, Hartmut Molzhan told a press in Nusa Dua, Bali on Saturday.

 

It was delivered on the sidelines of the annual conference of the International Federation of Textile Industries (ITMF) that provides updated information for all textile producers and textile products of the country's difter.

 

According to Hartmut, the textile and textile products industry contributes 6.65 percent of Indonesia's GDP by 2016, with an average growth of 5.2 percent to 5.4 percent in 2017.

 

Although the Indonesian textile and textile products industry is signaling positive growth, he said, it is necessary to implement various strategies to market the commodities.

 

"Currently it is time for traders and buyers to trade in an e-commerce way which can certainly be more effective and efficient in terms of cost and time," he said.

 

Added, textile and textile products are indeed commodities that will never stop for the trade is needed and eventually emerging new traders and make the competition increasingly tight.

 

"Companies in Indonesia should be able to have the right strategy if they do not want to lose with competitors from other countries," he said.

"Indonesia masih menjadi negara yang strategis dan penting sebagai produsen tekstil dan produk tekstil dengan mengambil pangsa dua persen di pasar dunia," kata CEO and Co-Founder 88Spares.com, Hartmut Molzhan kepada pers di Nusa Dua, Bali, Sabtu.

 

Hal tersebut disampaikan di sela penyelenggaraan konferensi tahunan International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) yang bertujuan memberikan informasi terbaru kepada seluruh produsen tekstil dan produk tekstil di sejumlah negara.

 

Menurut Hartmut, industri tekstil dan produk tekstil mampu memberikan kontribusi 6,65 persen dari GDP Indonesia tahun 2016, dengan pertumbuhan rata-rata 5,2 persen hingga 5,4 persen tahun 2017.

 

Sekalipun industrik tekstil dan produk tekstil Indonesia memberikan sinyal pertumbuhan positif, katanya, perlu melakukan berbagai terobosan dalam strategi memasarkan komoditas tersebut.

 

"Saat ini sudah saatnya pedagang dan pembeli melakukan perdagangan dengan cara e-commerce yang tentunya bisa lebih efektif dan efisien dari sisi biaya dan waktu," katanya.

 

Ditambahkan, tekstil dan produk tekstil memang merupakan komoditas yang tidak akan pernah berhenti sehingga perdagangannya dibutuhkan dan pada akhirnya muncul pedagang baru serta menjadikan persaingan kian ketat.

 

"Perusahaan di Indonesia harus mampu memiliki strategi yang tepat jika tak ingin kalah dengan pesaing dari negara lain," katanya.
