If we look at the world market, there are some countries that are in the field of textile industry, such as Bangladesh. If domestic producers can use it well, then this is a situation where the domestic industry can flap its wings in the international world. Develop it through certain forms, for example by increasing the number of exports to various countries.

The government and employers are expected to optimize this opportunity, as importing countries of textile products begin to transfer their imports from Bangladesh to other alternative countries.

Minister of Industry MS Hidayat explained that some buyers began to change the number of portions of their purchases in Bangladesh and divide them into several countries, including Vietnam and Indonesia. In addition, Hidayat also said that Vietnam has a special market in Europe and the US which is the main market of textiles. In connection with this, the government is encouraged to negotiate to meet the requirements of entry into Europe and the United States.

As we all know, the share of textile exports is 54% to the US, 18% to Europe and the rest to Japan. Ade Sudrajat who is the Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association said that the impact of the collapse of the Bangladeshi textile depends on the attitude of the buyers. If consumers see the event as well as the collapse of building construction, then it is not a problem. However, if the consumer views it as a result of poor management of the textile industry there, then it will affect the buyer's negative perspective.

Indonesia must try to improve its textile products in order to dominate the world market. Textile export contribution reaches 20 billion US per year. However, in terms of price, Indonesia is less competitive with Vietnam and Cambodia due to low labor costs there.

The government is also expected to encourage textile exports by providing easiness for imports for export purposes. Previously, the revocation of KITE (Ease of Import for Export Needs decreased textile export by 5%, so that initially 13.3 billion US dollars to 12.4 billion US in 2012. To develop export in Indonesia, the need for cooperation between producer and government for smooth supply and also easiness in exporting.

Kontribusi ekspor tekstil mencapai 20 miliar AS per tahunnya.

Sehingga yang awalnya 13,3 miliar dollar AS menjadi 12,4 miliar AS pada tahun 2012.
