PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) is optimistic that the company's performance until the end of 2017 will increase in line with the growth of demand for the national textile industry. President Director of SRIL, Iwan Setiawan Lukminto, said that the national textile industry as a whole will continue to increase.

"Especially considering the tendency of labor cost reminder in China and some labor constraints in Bangladesh, Indonesia is favored by investors," Iwan said in Jakarta on Tuesday (3/10/2017).

According to Iwan, the company will strive to maintain and improve its performance and financial condition.

"We will continue to develop and conduct high-tech research so as to produce excellent products that have capabilities such as waterproof, anti-stain, anti-fire, anti-infrared, anti-insect, bulletproof, and anti-radiation," he explained.

In addition, the addition of production capacity occurs in almost all lines of business such as the addition of spinning capacity from 1.2 million spun to 1.5 million spinning eyes, the addition of weaving capacity from 540 million meters per year to 600 million meters per year, the addition of capacity finishing production from 540 million yards per year to 660 million yards per year, and the addition of garment production capacity from 25 million pieces per year to 39 million pieces per year.

As of the first half of 2017, SRIL posted a 26 percent increase in current income to US $ 26.7 million over the same period last year.

Along with the increase in profit, SRIL sales grew 8% over the same period the previous year, from US $ 371 million to US $ 400 million.

"For total assets of SRIL up to the first semester of 2017 increased 11.93 percent to US $ 1 billion, compared to total assets of the same period the previous year," he explained.
