The Ministry of Industry has appreciated positively the performance of the High-Import Risk Task Force (PIBT) task force (PIBT). This has an impact on the productivity of the textile and textile products industry.

Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono, Director General of Chemical, Textile and Multifarious Industries (IKTA) of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), said that the government has succeeded in reducing bulk imports through the task force that was formed at the beginning of the second half of this year. The step has an impact on the TPT industry can meet domestic needs up to 60%.

According to him, another booster factor is through the implementation of fiscal and non-fiscal policies of several packages of economic policies that have been issued by the government. This is taken as a step to create a conducive investment climate.

"For example, facilitating the provision of fiscal incentives in the form of tax allowance for industries that develop vocations and innovation," Sigit said in a press release on Saturday (9/12/2017).

In order to support the improvement of national TPT industry performance, the government also cut various regulations, licensing, and bureaucracy to facilitate industry players in trying in Indonesia.Selain, guarding the wage system to ensure certainty for workers and business actors and develop a bonded logistics center (PLB ).

Meanwhile, Ade Sudrajat, Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), targets domestic TPT sales to jump to US $ 9.3 billion. The amount is up by 32.85% compared to last year which reached US $ 7 billion.

He explained that the high domestic sales were driven by the PIBT Task Force. This can stem the import of textiles which in some time ago dominated the Indonesian market.
