Various series of Commerce Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita's trade activities have been held in Tokyo, Japan on 28-30 November 2017 in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and ASEAN Japan Center (AJC) to push back Indonesia's exports to Japan experiencing a slowdown in the period 2012-2016.

During this working visit Mendag participated in a series of activities as well as bilateral meeting with various government agencies, private and Japanese associations, business forum, business matching, witnessing the signing of cooperation contract between President JAG Energy co. ltd and PT. Awina Sinergi Indonesia as well as the signing of partnership cooperation contract of Directorate General of Export Development National, Ministry of Trade and AEON Co. LTD, and meeting with Diaspora Indonesia.

The minister hopes Japan can continue to increase its commitment to provide broader market access for Indonesian products, especially food products, agricultural and fishery products and skilled manpower services such as nurses, caregivers and other skilled labor and market expansion through retail distribution systems. is in Japan.

In Trade Ministerial activity led by Minister of Trade, participated together entourage of Directorate General of National Export Development, Kemendag namely business delegation (21 companies) engaged in food products, beverages (coffee, herbs, cashew nuts, corn, unagi), fishery, textile products (polyester yarn) stationery products, tires, fertilizers, eyelashes, furniture, educational toys, palm oil and derivatives, renewable energy and other sectors (labor services and strategic industry products).
