Well, in Indonesia apparently there are some places you can visit for travel as well as add knowledge about textiles, one of them is in Malang lho.

 

1. Textile Museum, Jakarta

This museum was built during the reign of Jakarta Capital City Governor Ali Sadikin.

The Museum of Textiles collections were obtained from donations from Wastraprema and assembled approximately 500 collections at first.

 

This collection continues to be added until now reaching 2300 collections. Thousands of collections include a variety of batik cloth, ulos, and a variety of other traditional textile fabrics. Here also tersimoan Indonesian textiles from the beginning of the 18th century.

 

Only with an additional charge of Rp 40.000 you already get the science of batik, as well as tools and materials can you have batik.

2. Central Textile, Bandung

 

Located on Jalan Ahmad Yani No.390, Kebon Waru, Batununggal, Bandung City. Central Textile (BBT) has 8 technical services in the field of textile and textile products, namely research and development; testing of textiles and textile products; calibration of test equipment; standardization; certification; consultation; technical training; design and engineering.

2. Tourism Textile LaGross, Malang

 

LaGross is located on South Indrokilo Road 28 Lawang precisely in front of PT. New Minatex. In this place tourists can find out how the process of making textile cloth. In addition, this textile tourism to introduce interest in textiles among young people. To that end, made the Tour of Textile LaGross which combine elements of textiles with tourism in June 2007 ago.

1. Museum Tekstil, Jakarta

Museum ini dibangun pada masa pemerintahan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Ali Sadikin.

Koleksi Museum Tekstil diperoleh dari sumbangan dari Wastraprema dan menghimpun sekira 500 koleksi pada awalnya.

 

Koleksi ini berupaya terus ditambah hingga kini mencapai 2300 koleksi. Ribuan koleksi tersebut termasuk beragam kain batik, ulos, dan beragam kain tekstil tradisional lainnya. Di sini juga tersimoan tekstil asli Indonesia dari mulai abad ke 18.

 

Hanya dengan biaya tambahan sebesar Rp 40.000 Anda sudah mendapatkan ilmu membatik, serta alat dan bahan membatik bisa Anda miliki.

 

Anda akan diajarkan dengan detil cara membatik di pendopo batik yang terletak di dalam komplek Museum Tekstil Jakarta, tepatnya di belakang galeri batik.

 

2. Balai Besar Tekstil, Bandung

 

Terletak di Jalan Ahmad Yani No.390, Kebon Waru, Batununggal, Kota Bandung. Balai Besar Tekstil (BBT) memiliki 8 jasa layanan teknis dibidang tekstil dan produk tekstil, yakni penelitian dan pengembangan; pengujian tekstil dan produk tekstil; kalibrasi peralatan uji; standardisasi; sertifikasi; konsultasi; pelatihan teknis; rancang bangun dan rekayasa.

 

Dukungan ruang perpustakaan BBT sangatlah membantu bagi pengusaha, mahasiswa ataupun tenaga ahli tekstil dalam mencari literatur tentang tekstil.

 

Karena koleksi buku yang berjumlah lebih dari 13.000 buah berisikan tentang teknologi, ensiklopedia, majalah, jurnal, dan laporan penelitian dari Balai Besar Tekstil.

 

Balai Besar Tekstil sebagai lembaga jasa dan penelitian tekstil memiliki banyak fasilitas produksi tekstil, mulai dari proses perajutan, pertenunan, garmen, pengujian tekstil dan sebagainya.

 

Dengan adanya wisata tekstil ini masyarakat umum dapat berkunjung ke Balai Besar Tekstil, mendapatkan pengalaman baru dan menambah wawasan dunia tekstil.

 

2. Wisata Textile LaGross, Malang

 

LaGross berlokasi di Jalan Indrokilo Selatan 28 Lawang tepatnya didepan PT. New Minatex. Di tempat ini wisatawan dapat mengetahui bagaimana proses pembuatan textile kain. Selain itu, wisata tekstil ini untuk mengenalkan minat tekstil di kalangan anak muda. Untuk itu, dibuatlah Wisata Tekstil LaGross yang menggabungkan unsur tekstil dengan wisata pada Juni 2007 lalu.

 

Dengan adanya wisata tekstil ini diharapkan para pemuda berminat dalam bidang tekstil, dan mempunyai sarana dalam mengaplikasikan ilmunya di bidang pertekstilan.

 

Di galeri LaGross dipajang berbagai jenis kain hasil produksi PT New Minatex yang biasanya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangsa ekspor.

 

Pemasarannya sudah merambah Asia, Eropa, hingga Amerika. Selain untuk ekspor, perusahaan ini juga melayani pemasaran pangsa dalam negeri.

 

Oleh karena itu, di sinilah terdapat kain berkualitas ekspor dan berstandar internasional yang bisa diperoleh dengan harga sangat murah.
