In 2019, Indonesia's Textile Products Exports are Predicted to Increase PDF Print E-mail

The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) projects that the value of national textile and textile product (TPT) exports will grow rapidly in the next two years.

 

This optimism is in line with various programs and incentives given by the government to boost the performance of the leading sectors.

 

"The textile industry is an export-oriented labor-intensive sector. In 2019, we are targeting exports could reach 15 billion US dollars and able to absorb the labor of 3.11 million people, "said Minister of Industry (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto.

 

According to Minister of Industry, to achieve the target, new investment and expansion in every sector of textile industry is needed.

 

"We estimate at that time there will be additional production capacity of 1,638 thousand tons per year with an investment value of Rp 81.45 trillion and employment of 424,261 people," he said.

 

Therefore, Airlangga said, the government focused on creating a conducive investment climate by issuing policies that could facilitate industry players in trying in Indonesia. For example, facilitating the provision of fiscal incentives in the form of tax allowances tax holiday.

 

"In addition, in order to remind the competitiveness, Kemenperin is running an industry vocational education program in preparing a competent workforce as needed in the field. We also have a 3 in 1 Training program for garment machinery operators, "he said.

 

Then, the national textile industry is being encouraged to immediately take advantage of digital technologies such as 3D printing, automation, and internet of things so ready to face the era of Industry 4.0.

 

This transformation effort is believed to increase efficiency and productivity, in addition to continuing the restructuring program of machinery and equipment.

 

 

Airlangga's minister added that the government is also working on a bilateral cooperation agreement with the United States and the European Union to expand the local textile export market.

 

 

Tahun 2019, Ekspor Produk Tekstil Indonesia Diprediksi Meningkat

 

Kementerian Perindustrian (Kemenperin) memproyeksikan nilai ekspor industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT) nasional akan tumbuh pesat dalam dua tahun ke depan.

 

Optimisme ini seiring dengan berbagai program dan insentif yang diberikan pemerintah untuk memacu kinerja sektor unggulan tersebut.

 

“Industri TPT merupakan sektor padat karya berorientasi ekspor. Pada tahun 2019, kami menargetkan ekspornya bisa mencapai 15 miliar dollar AS dan mampu menyerap tenaga kerja sebanyak 3,11 juta orang,” kata Menteri Perindustrian (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto.

 

Menurut Menperin, untuk mencapai sasaran tersebut, dibutuhkan investasi baru dan ekspansi di setiap sektor industri TPT.

 

“Kami memperkirakan pada saat itu akan ada penambahan kapasitas produksi sebesar 1.638 ribu ton per tahun dengan nilai investasi Rp 81,45 triliun dan penyerapan tenaga kerja sebanyak 424.261 orang,” ujarnya.

 

Oleh karena itu, kata Airlangga, pemerintah fokus menciptakan iklim investasi yang kondusif dengan menerbitkan kebijakan-kebijakan yang dapat memudahkan pelaku industri dalam berusaha di Indonesia. Misalnya, memfasilitasi pemberian insentif fiskal berupa tax allowancedan tax holiday.

 

“Selain itu, guna meningatkan daya saing, Kemenperin tengah menjalankan program pendidikan vokasi industri dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang kompeten sesuai kebutuhan di lapangan. Kami juga telah memiliki program Diklat 3 in 1 untuk operator mesin garmen,” katanya.

 

Kemudian, industri TPT nasional sedang didorong agar segera memanfaatkan teknologi digital seperti 3D printing, automation, dan internet of things sehingga siap menghadapi era Industry 4.0.

 

Upaya transformasi ini diyakini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas, selain melanjutkan program restrukturisasi mesin dan peralatan.

 

 

Menteri Airlangga menambahkan, pemerintah juga berupaya membuat perjanjian kerja sama bilateral dengan Amerika Serikat dan Uni Eropa supaya memperluas pasar ekspor TPT lokal.
