Textile, timber and wooden commodities are still export support in Central Java province in December. The respective values were US $ 237.85 million, US $ 77.46 million and US $ 57.87 million respectively, with respective market share of 42.31%, 16.18% and 10.88% of total cumulative export in January - December 2017.

The three commodities are still the mainstay of Central Java Province throughout 2017.

Head of BPS Statistics and Distribution of Central Java Province Sri Herawati explained, the three commodities are the mainstay of Central Java because in several cities such as Semarang, Pekalongan and Surakarta ex Karisidenan area produce many textile products.

Meanwhile, for wood and wood processing products from Jepara and Kudus districts, many processed wood carving. Because of the Pantura region of Central Java, it is still a buffer exports in this province.

"The export value of Central Java in December 2017 reached US $ 519.93 million or decreased by 1.26% compared to exports in November 2017 [US $ 526.56 million] while compared to December 2016 [year on year] the export of Central Java decreased by US $ 3.65 million 0.70% The cumulative export from January to December 2017 reached US $ 5393.05 million up 11.21% from cumulative export from January to December 2016 [US $ 5,389.14 million], "Sri said on Monday (15 / 1/2018).

Sri added that the country's main export market of Central Java during December 2017 is the United States, Japan and China. Exports to the United States in December 2017 reached the largest number of US $ 147.13 million, exports to Japan amounted to US $ 64.51 million, and exports to China reached US $ 40.48 million. The role of the three countries to the total export of Central Java period from January to December 2017 reached 47.11%.

Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Entrepreneurs (APINDO) Central Java Frans Kongi said, garment is still the most commodity for export in Central Java. Surely not only garment, but wood processing is also a pretty much export commodity.

In general, in 2017 garment entrepreneurs feel benefited with their products are widely exported to overseas as a major commodity in Central Java. As for timber, and processed wood is still the same as 2016 there has been no significant increase.

According to him, garment controls 30% of Central Java's exports, and continues to be optimized for labor-intensive sectors. As for timber, apindo not know exactly how many are exported.

"The garment industry is likely to still be swayed in 2018 this time because the momentum is pretty good with the regional head elections expected by the economy to grow significantly," he added.

2018 as a political year should be utilized optimally by entrepreneurs, especially garment, because later will be a lot of shirts produced for the benefit of the campaign in the election of regional head.

The entrepreneurs are optimistic in the political year of business will continue to grow, because it is estimated that people's purchasing power will continue to strengthen and the economic growth of Central Java will rise.

"We hope to benefit from the political momentum because the people, will hold a massive democracy party, and there is no riot that endanger the community because it can affect the economic condition of Central Java," he explained.

Frans further hopes to the government to review the tax rules that have been set because, burdensome entrepreneurs, especially in Central Java.

Corporate income tax in Indonesia which reached 25%, became the trigger of some business sector in Central Java less developed.

"We ask the government to lower taxes, ideally the tax is 15 to 20% if still in the range of 25% it is hard for entrepreneurs in various sectors," he concluded.

Industri Tekstil Topang Ekspor Jateng

"Nilai ekspor Jawa Tengah bulan Desember 2017 mencapai US$519,93 juta atau mengalami penurunan sebesar 1,26% dibanding ekspor November 2017 [US$526,56 juta]. Sedangkan bila dibandingkan dengan Desember 2016 [year on year] ekspor Jawa Tengah turun sebesar US$3,65 juta 0,70% . Ekspor kumulatif Januari-Desember 2017 mencapai US$5393,05 juta naik 11,21% dari ekspor kumulatif Januari-Desember 2016 [US$ 5.389,14 juta]," ujar Sri pada Senin (15/1/2018).
