The Indonesian Textile Association welcomes the government's intention to provide revitalization incentives to machinery for business actors.

The Indonesian Textile Association welcomes the government's intention to provide revitalization incentives to machinery for business actors.

Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat said it could be good news for textile manufacturers in the country.

"This incentive can be a momentum for us to be in tune with the 4.0 industrial revolution," he said.

Currently, Adhe said, the average age of national textile machinery manufacturers around 20 years. However, he considered that it is not an obstacle in conducting production activities.

Meanwhile, the main factors emphasized by it are the availability of competitive energy and the adequacy of competent resources, both in terms of human resources and natural resources or raw materials.

"So what we are currently focusing on is how to optimize the potential of energy and resources, then the machinery will follow, because the machine also uses energy," he said.

The textile industry is one of the sectors that get some incentives from the government, such as the reduction of the amount of income tax (PPh) Article 25 and the postponement of tax payment Article 29 of 2013.

Asosiasi Tekstil Sambut Baik Rencana Insentif Permesinan
