Asia Pacific Fibers targets anti-flame fibers to grow 10% PDF Print E-mail

PT Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk targets a 10% growth in sales of flame retardant fiber this year. The optimism is due to the increasing trend of product demand in the global market.

Prama Yudha Amdan, Executive Assistant President Director of Asia Pacific Fibers said, so far it has been experienced in producing this high quality fiber. "Demand increases because the needs of anti-fire fiber is also high. The target of 10% tends to be moderate, "Prama said

Abroad, anti-fire fiber is much in demand by countries in Europe, Turkey, South Korea, Japan and the United States. The use of anti-fire fiber, among others, for the automotive industry and heat retaining clothing.

The contribution of the sale of anti-fire fiber is quite high for the earnings of issuers coded POLY shares in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). When added to the sale of other special textile products, its contribution can reach 21% to 24%.

In particular, this product is produced by Asia Pacific Fibers about 3% to 5% of the total production capacity of 330,000 tons of textile products per year.

Despite its increasing trend, Asia Pacific Fibers has no intention of increasing capacity. They will still maximize their existing production capacity and focus on increasing sales.

Domestically, demand for fiber products is relatively stable. You see, Indonesia does not have a clear product standard for anti-fire textile products. So the market and the price is not stable.

Different conditions occur in export destinations of Asia Pacific Fibers. "In our export destination countries there are minimum standards of fire-fighting fiber to be accepted there. The standard for the domestic market has not been properly laid out, so I do not think anyone else wants production because there is no market guarantee yet, "Prama said.

Asia Pacific Fibers is preparing a capital expenditure for 2018 of US $ 10 million. The funds are mostly used for the rejuvenation of machinery and the upgrading of production facilities. "But it can change and be reviewed according to market dynamics," Prama said.

Asia Pacific Fibers targetkan serat anti api tumbuh 10%

Asia Pacific Fibers menyiapkan belanja modal untuk tahun 2018 sebanyak US$ 10 juta.
