Agenda Indonesia Fashion Week or Indonesia Fashion Week will be held again on 28 March to 1 April 2018. This year, the event initiated by the Association of Young Indonesian Entrepreneurs (APPMI) with the Creative House of BUMN (RKB) will carry the theme of Cultural Identity, a concept where tourism destination can find fashion inspiration.

There will be three cultural fashions raised and the main spotlight, namely Lake Toba in Tanah Batak, Borobodur in Central Java, and Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara.

"Indonesia Fashion Week is the embodiment of cultural identity. We always strive to encourage the Indonesian fashion industry that brings the national characteristics and personality, while helping SMEs as the base of the people's creative industries especially in the fashion sector by helping to promote and direct products and designs that are trending in the market, "said President APPMI and IFW, Poppy Dharsono in Jakarta, Thursday (15/3/2018)

According to Special Staff II of the Ministry of SOEs Judith Jubilina Dipodiputro, Indonesia Fashion Week event can be a means for the creative home of SOEs to introduce the work and production of SMEs in the fashion sector which is built by SOEs.

"Through this event, we would like to meet the guidance of RKB BUMN, especially in fashion with the public, so as to expand the marketing network and ultimately can increase business and help economic development in all parts of Indonesia," said Judith.

This year, the Indonesia Fashion Week event will collaborate with 200 local and international fashion designers, 460 fashion brand and textile exhibitors, workshops, and souvenirs from various regions of the archipelago.
