Japan's Industry Begins to be Interested in Indonesia's Innovative Textile Sector PDF Print E-mail

The Indonesian textile industry sector began to look Japanese investors. They expressed readiness to invest for a number of unique fabrics of their innovation to Indonesia.


Director General of Small and Medium Industries (IKM) of Ministry of Industry, Gati Wibawaningsih, revealed that several Japanese textile industries have come to him and expressed his desire to invest in Indonesian wastra sector.


"We just got a message from a Japanese company from Usawa that expressed their desire to build a cotton textile industry with silk quality," he said.


They claim to want to produce fiber (fiber), yarn as well as fabric made from cotton. The technology they found with merebushancurkan cotton was able to produce fiber and yarn and even fabric with silk-like quality when made from cotton.


"The fabric is very smooth as silk, but on cotton, very soft but shiny," says Gati.


Usawa company envoys view Indonesia as very suitable for cotton plants because it only has 2 seasons. And now they are ready to build the innovative textile industry to Indonesia.


"Later we will try to woven fabric and batik," said Gati.


Gati added, other companies interested in developing fabric / textiles made from hemp. "They are planting hemp on 2 hectares of land in Malang, and if successful, they declare will build fabric fabrics factory in Indonesia," he said.


Other Japanese companies expressed readiness to develop fabric from banana release.


"So there are 3 Japanese companies that will build an innovative textile industry in Indonesia," he said


Industri Jepang Mulai Lirik Sektor Tekstil Inovatif Indonesia


Sektor industri tekstil Indonesia mulai dilirik investor Jepang. Mereka menyatakan siap berinvestasi untuk sejumlah kain unik hasil inovasi mereka ke Indonesia.


Dirjen Industri Kecil dan Menengah (IKM) Kemenperin, Gati Wibawaningsih, mengungkapkan beberapa industri tekstil Jepang telah mendatanginya dan menyatakan keinginannya untuk menanamkan investasinya di sektor wastra Indonesia.


"Baru saja kami didatangi utusan dari perusahaan Usawa Jepang. Mereka menyatakan keinginannya untuk membangun industri tekstil berbahan kapas namun berkualitas sutera," ujarnya


Mereka menyatakan ingin menghasilkan serat (fiber), benang sekaligus kain berbahan kapas. Teknologi yang mereka temukan dengan merebushancurkan kapas itu mampu menghasilkan serat dan benang bahkan kain dengan kualitas mirip sutera padahal berbahan kapas.


"Kainnya sangat halus seperti sutera, namun di atas kapas. Sangat lembut tapi mengkilap," ujar Gati.


Utusan perusahaan Usawa memandang Indonesia sangat cocok untuk tanaman kapas karena hanya punya 2 musim. Dan sekarang mereka siap membangun industri tekstil hasil inovasi itu ke Indonesia.


"Nantinya kita akan coba untuk kain tenun dan batik," ujar Gati.


Gati menambahkan, perusahaan lainnya berminat mengembangkan kain/tekstil berbahan rami. "Mereka sedang menanam rami di atas lahan 2 hektare di Malang. Dan kalau berhasil, mereka menyatakan akan membangun pabrik kain rami di Indonesia," tuturnya.


Perusahaan Jepang lainnya menyatakan siap mengembangkan kain dari pelepas pisang.


"Jadi sudah ada 3 perusahaan Jepang yang menyatakan akan membangun industri tekstil inovatif di Indonesia," ujarnya
