The rupiah exchange rate is still showing weakening trend, thus impacting one of them on textile and textile product industry (TPT) in the country.

Indonesian Textile Association (API) Deputy Chairman (API) Solo Liliek Setiawan mentioned the increase in dollar price, also made imported tap policy limited.

"It makes TPT industry miserable, narrowing our space," he said.

Plus this time entering the moment Eid, which should be able to boost production and sales, but can not even because of the condition.

Especially now for the government's exchange rate policy take a floating stance or adjust the market.

Liliek also said, it should be with this floating attitude should the central government prepare a national strategy to provide raw materials independently. This is done so that the existence of TPT industry is not dead.

"Do not let the fate of the textile industry such as sugar and salt industry, where the existence of food self-sufficiency even mengkerdilkan motion," he explained.

Therefore, now entrepreneurs are trying to survive, especially related to the current export market trend continues to grow.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani also added that the increase in dollar value has the most impact on the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

"Especially the pharmaceutical industry almost entirely using imported materials, so the impact is felt," he said.

Nilai Dolar Tinggi, Industri Tekstil Kewalahan

Nilai tukar rupiah masih menunjukkan tren pelemahan, sehingga berdampak salah satunya pada industri Tekstil Dan Produk tekstil (TPT) dalam negeri.

Wakil Ketua Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API) Solo Liliek Setiawan menyebutkan adanya kenaikan harga dollar, juga membuat kebijakan kran impor dibatasi.

”Sangat membuat industri TPT merana, menyempitkan ruang gerak kami," ujarnya.
