Build Factory In Karawang, Dong-Jin Will Produce Textile Sneakers PDF Print E-mail

PT Dong-Jin Textile Indonesia, a 100% foreign investment company from South Korea, will begin producing sneakers textile materials in Karawang, West Java, in early 2019.Quoted from page Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Friday (25/08/2017), Dong-Jin invested about Rp330 billion for the construction of its factory in industrial area Karawang. Later the plant will employ 500 employees.


President Dong-Jin Textile Co., LTD, Choi Woo-Chui, explained that his factory in Karawang will be the fourth production facility outside of South Korea.


Previously, three factories have been built and produce in Vietnam. The Dong-Jin product is synthetic textile material of sneakers shoes which mostly supply to famous brands like Nike and Adidas.


Its production textiles are known to be high quality, lightweight, and comfortable in the foot (breathable). High technology is applied both in product design and production process.


"The factory in Karawang will apply the same technology standards as in South Korea, including in the matter of waste treatment so it is safe for the environment," Choi Woo-Chui said when receiving Ambassador Umar Hadi's visit to his kanton in Busan city of South Korea.


Meanwhile, Ambassador Umar Hadi conveyed his concern to South Korea's investment that not only absorbed a lot of manpower as well as import substitution while also adding export commodities.


"The Indonesian Embassy in Seoul will help connect companies with educational institutions such as SMK and Sekolah Tinggi Tekstil in Indonesia in order to start recruiting skilled personnel," said Ambassador to South Korea, Umar Hadi.


Currently, there are about 2,000 South Korean companies investing in Indonesia. At the same time, 36,000 Indonesian counterparts work in various companies in Ginseng State.



Bangun Pabrik Di Karawang, Dong-Jin Akan Produksi Tekstil Sneakers


PT Dong-Jin Textile Indonesia, perusahaan PMA 100% asal Korea Selatan, akan mulai memproduksi tekstil bahan sepatu sneakers di Karawang, Jawa Barat, pada awal 2019.


Dikutip laman Kemlu, Jumat (25/8/2017), Dong-Jin menginvestasikan sekitar Rp330 miliar untuk pembangunan pabriknya di kawasan industri Karawang. Nantinya pabrik tersebut akan mempekerjakan 500-an orang karyawan.


Presiden Dong-Jin Textile Co., LTD, Choi Woo-Chui, menjelaskan bahwa pabriknya di Karawang akan menjadi fasilitas produksi ke empat di luar Korea Selatan.


Sebelumnya, tiga pabrik sudah dibangun dan berproduksi di Vietnam. Produk Dong-Jin adalah tekstil sintetis bahan sepatu sneakers yang sebagian besar menjadi pasokan bagi merek terkenal seperti Nike dan Adidas.


Tekstil produksinya dikenal berkualitas tinggi, ringan, dan nyaman di kaki (breathable). Teknologi tinggi diterapkan baik dalam desain produk maupun proses produksinya.


"Pabrik di Karawang akan menerapkan standar teknologi yang sama dengan di Korea Selatan, termasuk dalam soal pengolahan limbah sehingga aman untuk lingkungan," kata Choi Woo-Chui saat menerima kunjungan Dubes Umar Hadi ke kantonya di kota Busan, Korea Selatan.


Sementara itu, Dubes Umar Hadi menyampaikan perhatiannya terhadap investasi dari Korea Selatan yang tidak hanya menyerap banyak tenaga kerja juga sebagai substitusi impor yang sekaligus menambah komoditas ekspor.


"KBRI Seoul akan membantu menghubungkan perusahaan dengan lembaga-lembaga pendidikan seperti SMK dan Sekolah Tinggi Tekstil di Indonesia agar bisa mulai merekrut tenaga-tenaga terampil," kata Dubes RI untuk Korea Selatan, Umar Hadi.


Saat ini, terdapat sekitar 2.000 perusahaan Korea Selatan berinvestasi di Indonesia. Pada saat yang sama, 36.000 pendulang devisa Indonesia bekerja di berbagai perusahaan di Negeri Ginseng.
