The Association of Fiber and Yarn Producers Filament Indonesia (APSyFI) is worried about the second quarter due to the number of imported products so it is feared the domestic industry can not compete. In line with this, PT Asia Pacific Tbk also worried about it.

Redma Gita, Secretary General of APSyFI said that next month it is estimated that imported materials will flood in the market.

"Starting in early March imports begin to increase, April and May are also the same, we are worried after Lebaran market will be flooded with imported products," he said.

Therefore, recently APSyFI has also requested Permendag 85 of 2015 to be re-enacted considering with Permendag 64 year 2017 the government actually facilitate the importer.

Redma Gita declared effective after the enactment of Permendag 64 year 2017, the first quarter of 2018 (yoy) of textile and textile product (TPT) exports rose by 7.9% while imports jumped 19.6%, as a result of trade balance down 6.5%.

In line with this, Prama Yudha Amdan, Corporate Secretary as well as assistant to President Director of PT Asia Pasicif Tbk support APSyFI related to his suggestion that request Permendag 85 Year 2015 re-enacted.

"If according to company Permendag 64 it is not true because it facilitates anyone to import, not only producers. If returned to Permendag 85 which can only import the manufacturer, because the producers must know which ones have not been produced domestically, "he said.

According to him very unfortunate if Indonesia continues to be flooded with imported products. This is because the eroded foreign exchange. According to him, from the fourth quarter of last year, until the first quarter of this sale is very good.

Given the company's financial report on information disclosure, until the first quarter of this company was able to record positive results compared to the same period last year.

In the first quarter, issuers with POLY stock code managed to record a profit of US $ 3,044,497 compared to the same period last year which recorded a loss of US $ 6,335,128.

He said if the import continues, APSyFI estimates that sales revenue will drop 30%. "If this is allowed APSyFI predicts will drop about 20% to 30% for sales," he said.

He continued, currently the absorption of polyester fiber by 24%, while for the absorption of yarn by 23% - 25% nationally. "If imports continue to predict its absorption will also be reduced," he said.

Unfortunately, he can not predict how much the decline will occur.

Redma Gita menyatakan pasca efektif berlakunya Permendag 64 tahun 2017, kuartal I 2018 (yoy) ekspor industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT) naik 7,9% sedangkan impor melonjak naik 19,6%, alhasil neraca perdagangan turun 6,5%.

Menurutnya sangat disayangkan apabila Indonesia terus dibanjiri produk impor.
