PT Pan Brothers Tbk postponed the plan to build synthetic textile raw material factory aka synthetic woven. The move is due to the unstable global economic conditions, following the heated political tension in several countries, such as the United States, North Korea, Israel and Palestine.

Anne Patricia Sutanto, Vice President Director of Pan Brothers, said that the plan to build a factory can not be realized this year. "The expansion plan is still waiting for the stability of the world market," said Anne, Wednesday (30/5).

The construction of the synthetic woven factory is so that Pan Brothers is not dependent on imported raw materials. So far, the portion of synthetic woven import can reach between 70% and 80% of the total requirement of the raw materials.

Indeed, Pan Brothers still has the remaining funds from the Limited Public Offering (PUT) III amounting to Rp 419.8 billion. The funds will be divided into two sources of funding. The details, amounting to Rp 210 billion are used for investment and the remaining Rp 219.8 billion is used to support working capital.

Due to delays in synthetic woven factory development plan, this year the issuers coded PBRX shares in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) will only focus on optimizing the capacity of existing plants.

Until the end of 2017, Pan Brothers has a capacity of 90 million pieces. Hopefully, this year there will be a capacity increase of 10% to 15%. To increase the capacity, this year Pan Brothers will upgrade engine and digitize the system.

Anne said, with digitalization is expected to produce better product quality. "So even though our human resources (HR) is limited, by digitizing the system, the output will be faster," he said.

Exchange rate

If some entrepreneurs complain about the weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar, it does not apply to Pan Brothers. This condition is even profitable for this company. Understandably, most of Pan Brothers products are targeting export markets.

Citing the financial statements as of the first quarter of 2018, Pan Brothers' total sales reached US $ 107.4 million. Of these, export markets accounted for revenues of US $ 98.4 million.

Early in the year, Pan Brothers performance was still positive. The first three months of this year Pan Brothers recorded sales growth of US $ 107.4 billion, or 7.1% higher than the same period last year, amounting to US $ 100.2 million. However, in terms of bottom line, the company experienced a significant decrease up to 84.4%.

Anne added that until the end of the year, the company expects to book sales growth of 15 percent from last year's realization of US $ 549.3 million. While the bottom line growth target is also in similar figures, as a form of stability.

Pan Brothers menunda pembangunan pabrik bahan baku tekstil sintetis

PT Pan Brothers Tbk menunda rencana pembangunan pabrik bahan baku tekstil sintetis alias synthetic woven.

Maklum, sebagian besar produk  Pan Brothers menyasar  pasar ekspor.

Mengutip laporan keuangan hingga kuartal I-2018, total penjualan Pan Brothers  mencapai US$ 107,4 juta. Dari jumlah tersebut, pasar ekspor menyumbang pendapatan sebesar US$ 98,4 juta.

Awal tahun, kinerja Pan Brothers terpantau masih positif.
