During Lebaran 2018, the textile industry again wriggled. Recorded sales growth of 10% or equivalent US $ 800 million compared to the same period last year of US $ 8 billion.

Ade Sudrajat Usman, Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) explained that this year's Idul Fitri is more excited than the previous year. This is because the 13th salary received by civil servants and private employees.

In addition, according to him also because there are savings made travelers through the purchase of fuel oil (BBM). "Usually travelers spend Rp 300,000 to Rp 400,000, now only Rp 250,000. So the rest is bought for TPT products, "he said.

Therefore, in this year's Idul Fitri Indonesia's textile industry is able to book sales reaching US $ 800 million.

Even so, Redma Gita, Secretary General of the Association of Producers of Synthetic Indonesia (APSyFI) said the textile industry will decline after Eid. It saw the sale of filament yarn recorded by APSyFI has decreased since entering the second quarter of 2018. "The month of April has started to fall," he said.

While according to him fair during Lebaran of textile product increase. This is because sales of local filament yarns also increased also in the first quarter, especially in March as it approached Eid al-Fitr. "For the production ahead of Eid, they do in March, so we experienced increased sales," he explained.

However, entering the second quarter filament yarns local sales fell by around 10% - 15% to around 180,000 tonnes, therefore, he estimates the textile industry will decline after the Eid.

Industri tekstil masih belum stabil

Selama lebaran 2018, industri pertekstilan kembali menggeliat. Tercatat pertumbuhan penjualan sebesar 10% atau setara US$ 800 juta dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu sebesar US$ 8 miliar.

Sedangkan menurutnya wajar selama lebaran produk tekstil meningkat.
