The weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar hit the business world, especially the property and textile sector in Sukoharjo. So far, the property and textile industry has relied on imported raw materials, which automatically price will soar.

 

The rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar fell to the level of Rp. 14,600 per US dollar. This condition will affect the production process of the property and textile industries which are highly dependent on imported raw materials. Prices for imported property development equipment will rise.

 

The weakening of the rupiah exchange rate has affected the purchasing power of the people who are declining to buy property. Property prices will soar, especially the upper or high end, where most of the raw materials are imported.

 

This condition makes some people choose to resist the desire to spend money in the property sector. "Property developers protect against rising material prices and bank interest. If you cannot anticipate, the property industry will fall, "he said.

 

Ari is worried that the real sector is not moving because not a few funds settle in banks or financial institutions such as deposits, foreign exchange and bonds.

 

People are expected to save funds in banks rather than buying property because the price is unstoppable.

 

In addition to property, the textile industry is the sector most affected by the weakening of the rupiah. Most textile industries rely on imported raw materials. When the rupiah exchange rate weakens, the price of raw materials automatically rises, which has implications for soaring production costs.

 

Textile entrepreneurs must turn their brains to find ways to reduce the increase in production costs.

 

 

Rupiah Terpuruk Pukul Industri Properti & Tekstil di Sukoharjo

 

 

Pelemahan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap Dolar AS memukul dunia usaha terutama sektor properti dan tekstil di Sukoharjo. Selama ini, industri properti dan tekstil mengandalkan bahan baku impor yang otomatis harganya bakal melambung tinggi.

 

Kurs rupiah terhadap Dolar AS terpuruk hingga level Rp14.600 per dolar AS. Kondisi ini bakal memengaruhi proses produksi industri properti dan tekstil yang sangat bergantung pada bahan baku impor. Harga perlengkapan pembangunan properti yang diimpor bakal naik.

 

Melemahnya nilai tukar rupiah berdampak pada daya beli masyarakat yang turun untuk membeli properti. Harga properti bakal semakin melambung terutama kelas atas atau high end yang sebagian besar bahan bakunya impor.

 

Kondisi ini membuat sebagian masyarakat memilih menahan keinginan untuk membelanjakan uangnya di sektor properti. “Para pengembang properti melakukan proteksi terhadap kenaikan harga material dan bunga bank. Jika tidak mampu mengantisipasi, industri properti akan berguguran,” ujar dia.

 

Ari ini mengkhawatirkan sektor riil tidak bergerak lantaran tak sedikit dana yang mengendap di perbankan atau lembaga keuangan seperti deposito, valas, dan obligasi.

 

Masyarakat diperkirakan menyimpan dana di perbankan dibanding membeli properti lantaran harganya tak terbendung.

 

Selain properti, industri tekstil menjadi sektor paling terdampak pelemahan nilai tukar rupiah. Hampir sebagian besar industri tekstil menggantungkan bahan baku impor. Saat nilai tukar rupiah melemah, harga bahan baku otomatis naik sehingga berimplikasi pada melonjaknya biaya produksi.

 

Para pengusaha tekstil harus memutar otak untuk mencari cara menekan kenaikan biaya produksi.
