Encouraging Exports of Efficient Manufacturing PDF Print E-mail

The trade deficit between the United States and China which reached US $ 400 billion in 2017 prompted the administration of President Donald Trump to correct various global policies including the Federal Reserve policy which has raised interest rates several times and will continue to rise until the end of this year.

 

The result, as we have felt in recent weeks, has been strong pressure from the exchange rate of the US dollar to all developing countries. Greenbcak currency "behind the cage".

 

On the other hand, the US Government applies a high tariff for imported goods from China. Likewise  Chinese Government retaliated against American actions by raising tariffs on various agricultural products worth the same as Chinese goods to Uncle Sam's country.

 

Learning from this, is a necessity for Indonesia to focus on taking care of fundamental things for economic resilience, namely; exports of manufacturing and agricultural products and maintaining the domestic market from imports.

 

In the last two decades, the development of our manufacturing industry has been depressed because of the increasingly productive and efficient manufacturing industries in mainland China. However, currently they have succeeded in prospering the people with a wage rate of almost three times compared to Indonesia.

 

Now or not at all is the time for Indonesia to revitalize all potential export-oriented industrialization and fulfillment of the domestic market.

 

The export campaign must be led directly from the Palace, so that it can have positive implications across ministries for synergy, as well as for the first and second level regional governments, so that it happens like a competition in various regions to highlight its superior export products.

 

The foundation towards industrialization is already on perfect path marked by massive infrastructure development across country, as well as vocational-based human resource education led by Ministry of Industry shows a fundamental result in the direction of rapid revitalization.

 

This momentum should not be overlooked as happened two decades ago, because  Indonesian population of t millennial generation is already very hungry for productive and innovative channels.

 

We are confident with the national campaign that investment will flow freely from both domestic and foreign investors.

 

 

Memacu Ekspor dari Manufaktur yang Efisien

 

 

Defisit perdagangan antara Amerika Serikat dan China yang mencapai US$400 miliar pada 2017 mendorong pemerintahan Presiden Donald Trump untuk mengoreksi berbagai kebijakan globalnya di antaranya kebijakan The Federal Reserves yang telah beberapa kali menaikkan suku bunga dan masih terus akan naik sampai dengan akhir tahun ini.

 

Hasilnya seperti yang kita rasakan dalam beberapa pekan terakhir, yairu tekanan kuat dari nilai tukar dolar AS ke seluruh negara berkembang. Mata uang greenbcak ‘balik kandang’.

 

Di sisi lain Pemerintah AS menerapkan tarif yg cukup tinggi bagi barang barang impor asal China. Begitu pula Pemerintah China membalas tindakan Amerika dengan menaikkan tarif berbagai produk pertanian senilai sama dengan barang-barang China ke Negeri Paman Sam.

 

Belajar dari hal tersebut, adalah suatu keniscayaan bagi Indonesia untuk fokus mengurusi hal fundamental bagi ketahanan ekonomi, yakni; ekspor produk manufaktur dan agrikultura serta mempertahankan pasar dalam negeri dari serbuan impor.

 

Dalam dua dekade terakhir, perkembangan industri manufaktur kita dalam keadaan tertekan karena kian produktif dan efisiennya industri manufaktur di daratan China. Namun, saat ini mereka sudah berhasil memakmurkan rakyat dengan tingkat pengupahan hampir tiga kali lipat dibandingkan dengan Indonesia.

 

Sekarang atau tidak sama sekali adalah waktunya bagi Indonesia untuk merevitalisasi seluruh potensi industrialisasi yang berorientasi ekspor dan pemenuhan pasar dalam negeri.

 

Kampanye ekspor harus dipimpin langsung dari Istana, sehingga bisa memberikan implikasi positif di seluruh kementerian untuk bersinergi, begitu pula pemerintah daerah tingkat I dan II, sehingga terjadi seperti perlombaan di di berbagai daerah untuk menonjolkan produk ekspor unggulannya.

 

Fondasi ke arah industrialisasi sudah pada jalan yang sempurna ditandai dengan masifnya pembangunan infrastruktur di seantero negeri, begitu pula pendidikan sumber daya manusia (SDM) berbasis vokasi yg dimotori Kementerian Perindustrian menunjukkan suatu hasil yang fundamental ke arah revitalisasi yg cepat.

 

Momentum ini jangan sampai terlewatkan kembali seperti yg terjadi 2 dekade yang lalu, karena penduduk Indonesia dari generasi milenial sudah sangat lapar akan saluran produktif dan inovatif.

 

Kita yakin dengan kampanye nasional bahwa investasi akan mengalir deras baik dari investor dalam negeri maupun luar negeri.
