The road to the Butuh Village located in Boyolali Regency, Central Java is not too big, maybe only two small trucks can be passed. However, through these small streets, garment products worth tens of millions of dollars are channeled to three continents.

In Butuh Village, PT Pan Brothers Tbk. establish a garment factory under the auspices of a subsidiary of PT Prima Sejati Sejahtera with 100% share ownership. The plant is one of the assets of the PBRX-coded issuer with a value of US $ 63.97 million until the end of last year.

A time ago, Business had the opportunity to visit a factory that was located not too far from Boyolali's South Square. This factory is surrounded by residential areas that are not too dense and small shops.

Despite being located in the middle of a small village, the PBRX factory has a modern design with a simple impression. The walls of most of the buildings in this factory area are dominated by glass wrappings as an effort to increase the efficiency of energy use.

At the factory, various garment products are produced with the support of thousands of workers. Nurdin Setiawan, General Manager Human Resources Management at Pan Brothers, said that overall, the company needs 31,000 workers.

However, so far the new company has been able to meet around 28,000 workers to support a total production of 90 million pieces of garment products per year. "We are still in a labor deficit because of high turnover," he said.

Pan Brothers has its own advantages in building a factory in Boyolali because the labor costs are still cheap. Last year, through Governor's Decree Number 560/94 of 2017, Boyolali Regency's minimum wage reached Rp1.65 million per month.

Labor costs are one of the cost components that are sensitive to the textile industry. According to PBRX management in the 2017 annual report, Indonesia's position compared to other countries shows better opportunities.

From the hands of workers in Boyolali, PBRX garment products are supplied to Asia, Europe and the United States for a number of world-renowned brands, such as Uniqlo, Adidas, The North Face, Polo Ralph Laurent, Christopher Banks, Columbia, Oakley, Prada, Disney, FILA, and so on.

From the hands of thousands of workers, superior export products are produced which increase the country's foreign exchange. From textile products, this year the government targets the export value to reach US $ 13.5 billion and next year it is set to increase 11% to US $ 15 billion.

Of these figures, PBRX is not the only player that supports national export contribution of textiles and textile products (TPT). With revenues of US $ 572 million last year, of which almost all of the company's revenue came from exports, PBRX's contribution was still small.

TARGET PRODUSEN GARMEN : Mimpi PBRX Senilai US$20 Miliar
