Textile worth 2 billion from Malaysia destroyed PDF Print E-mail

Total of 682 bales weighing 10.23 tons of used clothing and 1,047 rolls weighing 31.41 tons of textile material were destroyed by Entikong Customs.

 

This used clothing and textile material is the goods of Entikong Customs and Excise from 2009 to 2018. The goods enter Indonesian territory through Entikong National Budget and rat lanes around the border of Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan with Sarawak, Malaysia.

 

"The amount is calculated by cubic reaches 110 or equivalent of two containers. This used clothing according to Minister of Trade Regulation 51 of 2015 is prohibited. So it is not permissible to enter because of health risks, "said Entikong Customs Head, Dwi Jogyastara.

 

It is said, the state loss from the import of used clothing and textile materials is around Rp. 2 billion. In the future, continued Jogy, synergy with related parties is intensified to prevent the entry of prohibited goods from abroad through the Sanggau border.

 

"Customs function in the border as a community protector to safeguard, protect  public from  dangers of illegal goods. In addition we also as a trade facilitator save the domestic industry from an imported goods. For this we are working with related parties at the border," he concluded .

 

Tekstil Senilai 2 Miliar Asal Malaysia Dimusnahkan

 

-Sebanyak 682 bal seberat 10,23 ton pakaian bekas dan 1.047 gulung dengan berat 31,41 ton bahan tekstil dimusnahkan Bea Cukai Entikong.

 

Pakaian bekas dan bahan tekstil ini merupakan barang tegahan Bea Cukai Entikong sejak 2009 sampai 2018. Barang tersebut masuk wilayah Indonesia melalui PLBN Entikong dan jalur tikus di sekitar perbatasan Kabupaten Sanggau, Kalimantan Barat dengan Sarawak, Malaysia.

 

“Jumlahnya kalau dihitung kubikasinya mencapai 110 atau setara dengan dua kontainer. Pakaian bekas ini menurut Permendag 51 tahun 2015 sifatnya adalah barang larangan. Jadi memang tidak boleh masuk karena dari sisi kesehatan membahayakan," ungkap Kepala Bea Cukai Entikong, Dwi Jogyastara.

 

Dikatakan, kerugian negara dari pemasukan pakaian bekas dan bahan tekstil sekitar Rp 2 miliar. Kedepan, lanjut Jogy, sinergi dengan pihak terkait lebih diintensifkan untuk mencegah masuknya barang-barang larangan dari luar negeri melalui perbatasan Sanggau.

 

"Fungsi Bea Cukai di perbatasan sebagai community protector untuk menjaga, melindungi masyarakat dari bahaya barang-barang ilegal. Selain itu kami juga sebagai trade facilitator menyelamatkan industri dalam negeri dari sebuan barang impor. Untuk ini kami bekerja sama dengan pihak terkait di perbatasan," pungkasnya.
