The Government Inaugurates Fashion Stores in Singapore PDF Print E-mail

Singapore, Industry Minister (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto inaugurated the opening of D2-1 fashion outlet in Paragon Mal. This store will display a variety of fashion products from all parts of Indonesia. Currently, there are 30 local designers exhibiting their work, which among others are from Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Padang and Makassar


"This shows that Indonesian high fashion products are sold in one of the most prestigious malls in Singapore, namely in Paragon. This means that it is very good for Indonesia because it has opened up opportunities for high fashion to expand its market in the center of Orchard Road, Singapore," said Airlangga.


Minister of Industry believes that these outlets can be a means of increasing export of national fashion products. Moreover, clothing made in Indonesia has been known for its quality on the international scene.


According to him, this achievement is inseparable from the role of  textile and textile products (TPT) in country that has been integrated so that it is highly competitive and contributes significantly to the national economy.


Throughout 2017, Indonesia's fashion industry exports reached USD13.29 billion, an increase of 8.7 percent from previous year. While in the period from January to July 2018, value of shipping Indonesian textile products reached USD7.74 billion and is targeted to end in 2018, it could exceed USD14 billion.


Moreover, wastra of the archipelago such as batik and weaving has unique motives that are diverse and have used natural dyes that are environmentally friendly.


The Minister of Industry also stated that his party continues to actively promote Indonesia's superior products through participation in national and international exhibitions.


"We have Indonesia Fashion Week and several other events to promote Indonesian fashion. In addition, we also have an Indonesia Moslem Fashion Week, with  hope that Indonesia will become the world's Muslim fashion center," he added.


Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Ngurah Swajaya hopes that increasing national fashion promotion can spread to other countries.


"The reason is that the sales can now be through online and offline systems. Opening outlets is concrete evidence of promotions that bring good feedback to all of us," he explained.



Pemerintah Resmikan Gerai Fesyen di Singapura



Singapura, Menteri Perindustrian (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto meresmikan pembukaan gerai fesyen D2-1 di Paragon Mal.


Toko ini akan menampilkan berbagai produk fesyen dari seluruh daerah Indonesia. Saat ini, sudah ada 30 desainer lokal memamerkan karyanya, yang antara lain berasal dari Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Padang dan Makassar.


"Ini menunjukkan bahwa produk high fashion Indonesia dijual di salah satu mal yang sangat prestisius di Singapura, yaitu di Paragon. Artinya, sangat bagus untuk Indonesia karena sudah membuka peluang bagi high fashion memperluas pasarnya di pusat Orchard Road, Singapura," kata Airlangga.


Menperin meyakini, gerai tersebut dapat menjadi sarana meningkatkan ekspor produk fesyen nasional. Apalagi, busana buatan Indonesia sudah dikenal kualitasnya di kancah internasional.


Menurutnya, Capaian ini tidak terlepas dari peran industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT) di dalam negeri yang telah terintegrasi sehingga berdaya saing tinggi dan berkontribusi signfikan terhadap perkonomian nasional.


Sepanjang tahun 2017, ekspor industri fesyen Indonesia mencapai USD13,29 miliar atau meningkat 8,7 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Sementara pada periode Januari-Juli 2018, nilai pengapalan produk TPT Indonesia mencapai USD7,74 miliar dan ditargetkan hingga akhir tahun 2018 bisa menembus sebesar USD14 miliar.


Apalagi, wastra Nusantara seperti batik dan tenun memiliki keunikan motif yang beragam dan telah menggunakan pewarna alam yang ramah lingkungan.


Menperin pun menyatakan, pihaknya terus aktif mempromosikan produk unggulan Indonesia melalui keikutsertaan di pamerang tingkat nasional maupun internasional.


"Kita punya Indonesia Fashion Week dan beberapa event lainnya untuk mempromosikan fesyen Indonesia. Selain itu, kita juga ada Indonesia Moslem Fashion Week, dengan harapan Indonesia menjadi pusat fesyen muslim dunia," imbuhnya.


Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Singapura Ngurah Swajaya berharap, peningkatan promosi fesyen nasional dapat merambah ke negara lain.


"Pasalnya, saat ini penjualannya bisa melaui sistem online maupun offline. Pembukaan outlet ini bukti konkret dari promosi yang membawa feedback bagus bagi kita semua,” jelasnya.
