The textile and textile product industry (TPT) targets domestic sales of US $ 10 million when the 2018 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas).

Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) Ade Sudrajat said the Harbolnas performance which was held on December 11-12 was expected to be one of the pillars of domestic sales for textile products.

"Last year we were able to reap US $ 5 million from Harbolnas. This year there is a special session to showcase local products in online sales. Our target [TPT sales] can be doubled from the achievements [during Harbolnas] 2017, or around US $ 10 million, "he told.

On the other hand, Harbolnas is expected to contribute around 10% of total textile sales for a month and reduce the downward trend in domestic textile consumption.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Indonesian Footwear Association (Aprisindo) Firman Bakri said, Harbolnas was quite effective in boosting footwear sales. He said, domestic producers rely on consumers of non-cash footwear enthusiasts to market their products when Harbolnas.

"We don't have the data, of course, how much does Harbolnas contribute to the sale of footwear in the country. However, what is clear for the market for casual shoes is that we are not too optimistic to sell significantly, "he said.

Firman said, so far domestic producers did not expect too much in the casual shoes segment. The reason is that domestic consumers are more fond of imported casual shoe products because they have a well-known brand, good quality and affordable prices.

However, according to him, he hoped that online shopping platform entrepreneurs would also include mandatory national labels when exhibiting domestic shoe products. .

"Those of us who sell offline are required to have labels of origin and labels in Indonesian. If not, our products can be dealt with by the government. This obligation has not been carried out on the online platform. This condition that we fear does not make domestic products have wide space in Harbolnas 2018, "he continued.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian E-commerce Association (IdEA) Ignatius Untung said, textile products and footwear became one of the interests of consumers when Harbolnas. "When Harbolnas, fashion or textile products and footwear are usually the most preferred by consumers in addition to electronic products," he said.

For this year's Harbolnas, the total transaction value of all participants from electronic commerce is targeted to reach IDR 7 trillion. A total of Rp1 trillion of which is projected to be obtained from the sale of local products.

Pengusaha Tekstil Targetkan Transaksi US$10 Juta saat Harbolnas 2018

Namun, menurutnya, dia berharap para pengusaha platform belanja daring turut menyertakan wajib label nasional ketika memamerkan produk sepatu domestik. .
