Indonesian Trade Agreement - IE CEPA Officially Signed PDF Print E-mail

Indonesia officially signed an Indonesian trade agreement with four countries incorporated in the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The four EFTA countries are Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway.


The signing of the Indonesian agreement text - EFTA Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IE - CEPA) was represented by the Indonesian Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita.


"The signing of this agreement is expected to bring the Indonesian economy stronger, more competitive and attractive to investors from developed countries, EFTA members," Enggar explained


The IE - CEPA Agreement covers issues of goods trade, service trade, investment, intellectual property rights, sustainable development, origin and customs provisions, trade facilities, trade security, business competition, legal and cooperation and capacity building.


Swiss Minister of Trade Federal Councillor Ammann stated that the agreement with Indonesia was awaited by business players from EFTA countries who wanted to develop their business in Indonesia. In 2017, the total value of Indonesia's trade with EFTA countries is only around US $ 2.4 billion.


Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, EFTA is the 23rd non-oil and gas export destination. The 25th largest non-oil and gas import country for Indonesia.


Indonesia's main exports to EFTA include jewelry, optical devices, gold, telephone devices and essential oils. While Indonesia's main imports from EFTA are gold, turbo jet engines, medicines, fertilizers and industrial raw material blends.



Perjanjian Dagang Indonesia - IE CEPA Resmi Ditandatangani



Indonesia resmi menandatangani perjanjian dagang Indonesia dengan empat negara yang tergabung dalam European Free Trade Association (EFTA). Keempat negara EFTA tersebut ialah Swiss, Liechtenstein, Islandia dan Norwegia.


Penandatanganan naskah perjanjian Indonesia - EFTA Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IE - CEPA) diwakili oleh Menteri Perdagangan RI Enggartiasto Lukita.


"Penandatanganan perjanjian ini diharapkan membawa ekonomi Indonesia lebih kuat, berdaya saing dan menarik bagi investor dari negara maju anggota EFTA," jelas Enggar


Perjanjian IE - CEPA mencakup isu-isu perdagangan barang, perdagangan jasa, investasi, hak kekayaan intelektual, pembangunan berkelanjutan, ketentuan asal dan bea cukai, fasilitas perdagangan, pengamanan perdagangan, persaingan usaha, legal serta kerja sama dan pengembangan kapasitas.


Menteri Perdagangan Swiss Federal Councillor Ammann menyatakan bahwa perjanjian dengan Indonesia sangat ditunggu oleh pelaku usaha dari negara EFTA yang ingin mengembangkan bisnisnya di Indonesia. Tahun 2017, nilai total perdagangan Indonesia dengan negara EFTA hanya berjumlah sekitar US$ 2,4 miliar.


Berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistik menunjukkan bahwa EFTA merupakan negara tujuan ekspor nonmigas ke 23. Serta negara asal impor nonmigas ke 25 terbesar bagi Indonesia.


Ekspor utama Indonesia ke EFTA mencakup perhiasan, perangkat optik, emas, perangkat telepon dan minyak esensial. Sedangkan impor utama Indonesia dari EFTA ialah emas, mesin turbo jet, obat-obatan, pupuk dan campuran bahan baku industri.
