Enggartiasto said, this agreement was in accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to open new markets.

This is one of the main priorities outlined by President because it opens a new market, and does not merely open trade, market access, but also attract investment, he said at the Jakarta Ministry of Commerce.

With this agreement, number of commodities from Indonesia that enter these countries are not subject to tariffs and vice versa.

Zero rates, already signed already agreed, he said.

According to Enggar, this openness has been taken into account and will not give a loss to the country.

All market access is opened by EFTA, so I beg for support, none of the agreements that I have made are harmful, and President is definitely not permitted to be harmed, he said.

For information, in this collaboration Indonesia will gain an increase in market access to EFTA, including fisheries products and industries such as textiles, furniture, bicycles, electronics and car tires. Then, for agricultural products such as coffee and oil palm.
