Boosting Exports, Indonesia Will Actively Establish Economic Partnerships PDF Print E-mail

In order to boost export value, Indonesia will actively establish economic partnerships with various countries through a free trade agreement (FTA) or comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA).


As recently as Indonesia and four countries that are members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) namely Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway have signed the IE-CEPA scheme.


"So, the opportunity to increase our exports will be very large because the import duty there becomes zero percent. Various reliable products from Indonesia are ready to penetrate the global market, such as jewelry to Switzerland and other products such as textiles, clothing, and footwear, including products IKM, "said Minister of Industry (Minister of Industry) Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta.


Airlangga asserted, his party is pushing for an increase in exports by industries that have excess capacity. This is because it has been able to meet the domestic market. "So it really needs to be considered a combination of domestic and export markets so that the volume increases," he said.


The sectors that are being driven include the food and beverage industry and the textile and textile products (TPT) industry. This group is also a manufacture that has priority development in the application of industry 4.0 according to the map of Making Indonesia 4.0.


"In 2030, Indonesia is targeted to become the top five exporter for the food and beverage industry at the global level," he said.


Industry 4.0 is believed to be able to increase national food and beverage exports by up to four times, from this year's target of around USD12.65 billion, which will be as much as USD50 billion by 2025.


Meanwhile, the textile industry is competitive because its industrial structure is integrated from upstream to downstream and its products are also known to have good quality in the international market. This labor-intensive sector, he said, was able to provide a share of world exports of 1.6%.



Genjot Ekspor, Indonesia Akan Aktif Jalin kemitraan ekonomi



Dalam rangka menggenjot nilai ekspor, Indonesia akan aktif menjalin kemitraan ekonomi dengan berbagai negara melalui free trade agreement (FTA) atau comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA).


Seperti belum lama ini, Indonesia dan empat negara yang tergabung dalam European Free Trade Association (EFTA) yakni Swiss, Liechtenstein, Islandia dan Norwegia telah menandatangani skema IE-CEPA.


"Jadi, peluang meningkatkan ekspor kita akan sangat besar karena bea masuk ke sana menjadi nol persen. Berbagai produk andalan dari Indonesia siap merambah pasar global, seperti perhiasan ke Swiss dan produk-produk lainnya seperti tekstil, pakaian, dan alas kaki, termasuk juga produk IKM," ujar Menteri Perindustrian (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto di Jakarta.


Airlangga menegaskan, pihaknya tengah mendorong peningkatan ekspor oleh industri yang memiliki kelebihan kapasitas. Hal ini karena telah mampu memenuhi pasar domestik. "Jadi memang perlu diperhatikan kombinasi pasar domestik dan ekspor supaya volumenya meningkat," tandasnya.


Adapun sektor yang sedang dipacu, antara lain industri makanan dan minuman serta industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT). Kelompok ini juga merupakan manufaktur yang mendapat prioritas pengembangan dalam penerapan industri 4.0 sesuai peta jalan Making Indonesia 4.0.


"Pada tahun 2030, Indonesia ditargetkan menjadi lima besar eksportir untuk industri makanan dan minuman di tingkat global," ungkapnya.


Implementasi industri 4.0 diyakini mampu meningkatkan ekspor makanan dan minuman nasional hingga empat kali lipat, dari target tahun ini sekitar USD12,65 miliar yang akan menjadi sebesar USD50 miliar pada 2025.


Sementara itu, industri TPT mampu kompetitif karena struktur industrinya sudah terintegrasi dari hulu sampai hilir dan produknya juga dikenal memiliki kualitas yang baik di pasar internasional. Sektor padat karya ini, kata dia, mampu memberikan pangsa ekspor dunia sebesar 1,6%.
