The Ministry of Industry (Kemperin) considers trade war between the United States (US) and China will have a positive impact on Indonesia.

Because, many Chinese companies will relocate their businesses to Indonesia.

Minister of Expert Staff for Increasing Use of Domestic Products, Imam Haryono said, his party was lobbying a number of companies from China to invest in Indonesia.

"Several companies in China are in the process of relocating, which is already evident to Vietnam. So we must compete with Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia for the relocation of industries located in China," Imam said.

According to him, some companies in China have committed to investing and relocating business to Indonesia.

"Some companies have committed, but later if we have the fix, we announce it," said Imam Haryono.

"The existence of this trade war, Indonesia benefited from the incident. With plans to relocate Chinese companies to Indonesia so as to avoid a very significant increase in tariffs," he said.

With the investment plan from China, Imam Haryono is optimistic that this year's economic growth will reach the target of 5.3%.

The Ministry of Industry projects that the food and beverage industry grows 9.86%, machinery grows 7%, textiles and apparel grows 5.61%, the leather subsector, goods from leather and footwear grow 5.40%, and metal goods, computers and electronic goods grew 3.81%.

Perang Dagang AS-Tiongkok Untungkan Indonesia
