Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto said that Indonesia's manufacturing contribution to gross domestic income was ranked in the top five in the world. Available data, its achievements reached 20.5% in 2017.

In this case, Indonesia is above America, Mexico, India, Russia to Spain, and under China, Korea, China, Germany to Japan. Airlangga also explained that the GDP of the MSME industry in the 2015 to 2018 period had positive growth.

"The average growth of  non-oil and gas processing industry for 2015-2018 period was 4.87 percent with the GDP value in 2018 of Rp 2,555.8 trillion," Airlangga said.

Meanwhile, he said for the industry with the highest growth, namely the food and beverage industry. Followed by the textile industry, jewelry, metals to transportation equipment.

"For the distribution of industry with the highest growth is food and beverages at 8.71% and the textile and apparel industry is not optimal, which is 1.64 percent," Airlangga said.

In addition, Airlangga stressed that if there were observers who said that Indonesia's contribution was still low and below 30%, it meant that the observer did not understand. Because China has only reached the first rank, its contribution is still below 30%.

Airlangga said the observer's criticism was actually the trigger to improve himself to increase the order.

"If there are observers, we say that our manufacturing contribution is still below 30%, it turns out that in the world there is nothing above that. Even though China is still 28.8%," he concluded.

Industri Manufaktur Indonesia Diklaim Masuk Lima Besar Dunia

Sekalipun Tiongkok masih 28,8%," pungkasnya.
