Cotton Council International (CCI), a non-profit trade association that promotes cotton fiber in the United States (US) and manufactured cotton products around the world under the trademark Cotton USA, has again initiated a forum for the country's textile industry.

In collaboration with the Indonesian Textile Association (API), CCI discusses the latest cotton processing technology and market potential related to the use of Cotton USA for the domestic textile industry.

Cotton USA is committed to assisting manufacturing industry players in understanding the use of the latest technology in the textile industry in Indonesia, in order to compete at the global level.

Andy Do as CCI Representative in Indonesia said that Cotton USA is always committed to assisting manufacturing industry players in understanding use of the latest technology in Indonesia.

"We do this to bring new opportunities and benefits to Indonesian textile industry," Andy said in a seminar titled "The Latest Technology in the Textile Industry From Trial (USTER), Knitting (RIETER) and Spinning (MURATA) from Cotton USA Yarn" held at the Sheraton Hotel.

To introduce the latest textile technologies to textile entrepreneurs in Bandung, CCI and API present a number of experts, both from within and outside the country, around the technology of the textile industry.

The experts are CCI Executive Director, Bruce Atherley, who introduced further about CCI, Navaid Baqai (CCI Technical Director) with presentation material around a number of studies related to cotton fiber.

Then there is Murali Ganesh (Head of Textile Technology, India and South East Asia, USTER) who presented fiber test statistics, Harald Schwippl (Head of Technology RIETER) about spinning using Cotton USA and Akitsugu Mori (Technical Expert MURATA) reviewing the latest technology of yarn production based on Cotton USA.

On that occasion, Bruce Atherley said that this seminar was an initiative of COTTON USA which aims to inspire textile entrepreneurs to continue to explore various opportunities and introduce the latest technological innovations related to US Cotton.

"The aim is to produce a variety of high-quality US cotton products with the latest three technologies in total trials (USTER), knitting (RIETER), and spinning (MURATA)," said Bruce Atherley.

While Navaid Baqai on the same occasion added that the CCI through the COTTON USA ™ trademark has superior quality because it uses the quality of quality US cotton raw materials.

"US cotton shows strong and soft materials and proven fiber. In conclusion, US cotton will make the quality of textile products more quality because it all depends on the raw materials and technology used. And don't think of buying cotton cheaper but has not tested its quality , "Navaid said.
