The Lenzing Group as a natural fiber producer from Austria runs its initiative to promote a sustainable fashion industry in Indonesia. Lenzing and his business partners, EASE and Patrick Owen held seminars and discussions entitled #MakeItFeelRight through Sustainable Fashion.

Lenzing has a mission to educate young designers to care about the environment by learning more about natural textile materials.

For Lenzing, sustainability is a continuous effort to balance the three elements, such as  people, planet and profit. Sustainability also serves as a growth motor for business and can be a solution to overcome social challenges and issues in the community.

Lenzing defines sustainability as a strategy called Naturally Positive and focuses on four main pillars, namely security and availability of wood raw materials, water management, decarbonization, and continuous innovation.

Winston A. Mulyadi as Commercial Head of Lenzing SEA said that the fashion industry in Indonesia has great potential in realizing Sustainable Fashion. Lenzing hopes to make the textile and non-woven industries more environmentally friendly by expanding collaboration with business partners.

One of them is EASE and Patrick Owen. EASE uses fiber called TENCEL as the main raw material to realize its aspiration to create Sustainable Fashion. In addition, Lenzing also supports the Packaging Room Pop-Up Store by Patrick Owen at Plaza Indonesia and the fashion show for the Spring / Summer 2019 collection 'Altera' at Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week.

In addition, Lenzing also invited prospective young designers at ESMOD Indonesia through the provision of environmentally friendly fiber knowledge material. Lenzing will also include TENCEL as part of the ESMOD curriculum specifically in textile management.

This Make It Feel Right campaign is expected to create awareness and empower consumers that there are alternative cellulose-based clothing fibers that are not only easily biodegradable but also use fewer resources.
