PT Berkah Prima Perkasa Tbk (BLUE), holder of the Blueprint printing product brand began offering its shares on the trading floor. Company targets the acquisition of IPO funds of Rp 21.8 billion. Funds from the initial public offering will be used to strengthen the capital structure and obtain working capital for the development of new business lines. The newest business unit that has been developed by Blueprint is in the textile printing sector.

"For the textile printing, this is derived from one of the types of ink that we sell. So the image is printed with special ink, then pressed into cloth so that the pattern moves to the fabric," said President Director of PT Berkah Prima Perkasa Tbk Herman Tansri in Jakarta

Herman said, the industry is becoming a trend abroad, especially in countries that are very concerned about environmental issues. In Europe, only textile printing methods like this are allowed. Indeed, the price is more expensive than ordinary screen printing. However, textile printing methods like this are more environmentally friendly because of minimal waste.

"You can't use dye anymore, because once printed, transfer to cloth, spend a lot of water. When the water is thrown away it can damage the environment," Herman said.

The new Blueprint has penetrated the business unit for one year. Nanun, there are already some famous Indonesian designers who are their customers. For textile printing, it accounts for 5 percent of the entire Blueprint business.

In addition to printing on canvas or polyester fabric, this business allows them to also expand into carpet printing for hotels. Usually, he said, the hotel asked for carpets to be printed exclusively. In addition, in Indonesia, local brand sales are high.

The Blueprint will enter the printing sector with hype bags and shoes that are currently popular. "This is an attractive alternative for designer houses," Herman said.

"With the growth of the middle class in Indonesia, I believe the public demand for this product is getting bigger," he continued

For this textile print business, it has invested Rp 1.5 billion to buy tools and equipment. With the additional capital from the public through an IPO, he targets this sector to be able to contribute 10 percent of the company's total revenue.

Although many of its customers are from well-known designers, this textile printing business is inseparable from various challenges. "The challenge is when volume is high, many fabric factories try to monopolize it. If you want to buy fabric from the factory, you have to print it there too. That's a stumbling block for us," Herman said.
