PT Pan Brothers Tbk (PBRX) garment and textiles issuers target sales growth of 10% -15% throughout 2019. PBRX Vice Chief Executive Officer Anne Patricia Sutanto explained how PBRX achieved its sales target by making factory updates in order to increase production.

Anne explained that automation and digitalization took the form of an integrated database so that productivity and production capacity could increase. Then minimize manual work such as on panel machines. Workers only enter materials and the rest will be sewn automatically.

Anne hopes that with this integration, PBRX can increase working hours to 24x7 with four working groups so that PBRX can maximize production.

Anne said that with the support of product development that continues to be developed, it will further strengthen and complement the competitiveness of PBRX, currently as part of unlimited growth.

PBRX is equipped with equipment for high tech apparel such as padded apparel, seamless apparel, waterproof apparel, high frequency welding, bonding and ultrasonic machines.

"Currently PBRX has also carried out the construction phase of several new factories and running prototypes of several machines," he said.

Anne explained that this year, PBRX has added capacity by building a new factory under its subsidiary PT Teodore Pan Garmindo in West Java. The plant is targeted to be completed by the end of 2019. The installed capacity will be 6 million pieces of garment per year and will begin production in 2020.

The total capital expenditure budgeted for the factory in West Java is US $ 5 million. This fund will be absorbed in stages which will begin this year.

Construction of two other factories under the banner of PT Eco Smart Garment Indonesia in Central Java is planned to begin construction next year. The target is to finish the factory construction in 2020 and will start production in 2021. The production capacity will increase to 21 million pieces of garment.

The total capital expenditure for the construction of the Eco Smart Garment project is budgeted at US $ 30 million, which will be used in stages starting in 2020.

The other capital expenditure is US $ 7 million-US $ 12 million for maintenance capex on a consolidated basis including integrated project 4.0.

Therefore, Anne stated that the production capacity in 2019-2021 will be 117 million pieces per year with the results of garment equivalent to polo shirts.

Until the quarter I-2019, PBRX recorded sales which recalled 4.46% compared to the same period from the previous year to US $ 112.9 million.
