The government claims, 328 manufacturing industries are ready to transform into the industrial era 4.0. This is indicated by their participation in following the assessment of Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (Indi 4.0).

Head of the Industrial Research and Development Agency (BPPI) of the Ministry of Industry Ngakan Timur Antara said, 328 companies were quite enthusiastic in entering the industrial era 4.0.

"This industrial company has carried out INDI 4.0 self-assessment online through the SIINas (National Industrial Information System) account," said Ngakan.

According to him, from the results of Indi 4.0 self-assessment, industries in Indonesia are quite ready to transform towards industry 4.0. The Indi 4.0 consists of five pillars, Such as management and organization, people and culture , products and services, technology, and factory operations.

As is known, this year the Ministry of Industry has set five industries that received the Indi 4.0 award. Each of them is PT Indolakto for the food beverage industry sector, PT Pupuk Kaltim for the chemical industry sector, PT Pan Brothers, Tbk for the textile industry sector, PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia for the automotive industry sector, and PT Hartono Istana Teknologi for the electronics industry sector.
