The bad news continues to plague the textile and textile product (TPT) industry until nearing the end of the year. The impact of the invasion of imported products has an impact on the sales of the textile industry, until the stock pile up has an impact on the company's cash flow.

Even Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Expert Association (IKATSI) Suharno Rusdi said if this condition continued for 2-3 months, then the affected industries would have difficulty paying the salaries of their workers. The Indonesian Textile Association (API) reports that its members have already been laid off.

Is that condition really happening in West Java?

Deputy Secretary of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) of West Java, Rizal Tanzil confirmed the matter of the increasingly depressed TPT industry.

"Our textile condition is having a hard time, imports are high, production is down, can't sell goods, finance is difficult, the impact is employees are laid off, some are even laid off. If there is no handling, everything is just a matter of time," he said.

Rizal revealed that of the 200 TPT companies in West Java, the majority of conditions experienced problems with financial cash flow. However, Rizal did not specify who the company was having problems with cash flow.

He said of the 200 API members in West Java, as much as 20% of the garment or downstream sector, the rest were in the upstream sector and products including, weaving, dyeing, knitting, yarn, and fabric.

"The current conditions are already difficult, the industry is increasingly declining, cash flow is disrupted, it is sure to interfere with payments about wages," he said.
