Cotton Day Indonesia 2019 Bringing the Fashion Community into the Textile Industry PDF Print E-mail

Cotton Council International (CCI) a non-profit trade association that promotes US (United States) cotton fibers and cotton manufacturing products throughout the world under the Cotton USA trademark again held an event titled "Cotton Day Indonesia". Held for the third time, this annual event brought together various stakeholders in the textile industry, from producers to users of processed textiles in Indonesia.


Cotton Day Indonesia in 2019 is an event for various textile industry players to showcase various innovations related to the best quality cotton fiber material. The annual Cotton Day Indonesia event is a forum initiated by CCI as a commitment to continue educating partners and textile industry players in Indonesia regarding cotton fiber from the United States.


In this Cotton Day Indonesia 2019, CCI introduces the latest technological innovations that have been applied through the Cotton USA trademark to produce cotton fibers and cotton manufacturing products that are distributed throughout the world. In addition, the annual event held by Cotton USA also serves as a forum for the country's fashion industry, ranging from textile manufacturing in Indonesia, the Indonesian Textile Association, to the fashion community of the country.


With the existence of Cotton Day Indonesia that can consistently contribute to the advancement of the textile and fashion industry in Indonesia. At the Cotton Day 2019 event, CCI also presented several speakers at the forum titled The BTOB Seminar For The Indonesian Textiles Mills, which was attended by more than 250 textile industry players and fashion communities in Indonesia.


CCI Executive Director, Bruce Atherley said that with a commitment to bring the best quality cotton, Cotton Council International through the Cotton USA trademark will continue to provide education to every element related to textiles and fashion throughout the world, including in Indonesia. Bruce believes, cotton fiber that has implemented the latest standards and technologies can provide various benefits for its users.


"With the application of high standards, cotton fibers with the trademark Cotton USA have superior quality because they use superior quality raw materials. Cotton from the United States has strong and soft materials and proven fibers. "Bright Bruce.


"In conclusion, US cotton will make higher quality textile products because it all depends on the raw materials and technology used. And don't think about buying cheaper cotton but the quality hasn't been tested yet, "Bruce continued.


In the same moment, through the Cotton Day 2019 event, CCI also held a fashion show with the theme "Cotton Day - Indonesia 2019". In this third year, there are dozens of clothing collaboration results between 10 textile companies with 10 local designers in Indonesia and 8 local and international brands.


"Several textile companies that participated in the Indonesia Cotton Day 2019 event included PT. Apac Inti Corpora, PT. Argo Pantes Tbk, PT. Dan Liris, PT. Grand Textile Industry, PT. Hakatex, PT. Lucky Print Abadi, PT. Ocean Asia Industry, PT. Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk, PT Tantra Textile Industry, and PT. Visionland Indonesia. Meanwhile, some brands that participated in this year's agenda include EDWIN, EMBA, Bateeq, Edition, Foxcroft, Lekat, Shan Shan Huang, ZOE, Wastu, Salt n Pepper. "Said Andi.


The fashion show held at Cotton Day - Indonesia 2019 is a form of collaboration between mills and local designers in Indonesia. The collaborators display the latest work in the form of daily clothing with the basic ingredients of US cotton fibers. Some of the works displayed at this fashion show also did not forget to raise a variety of local wisdom in Indonesia, such as batik. In addition, Cotton USA also raised the theme of Muslim wear so that the general public is more familiar with fabrics with comfortable cotton material to be worn as Muslim clothing in tropical climates such as in Indonesia.


At this year's Indonesian Cotton Day event, CCI also gave Cotton USA license certificates to several Indonesian textile companies that had fulfilled the requirements in producing US cotton fibers. Currently, Cotton USA has issued 50 licenses for companies in Indonesia. In 2019, there will be 10 new companies that we will give Cotton USA licenses for.
