Customs and Excise supervise the potential misuse of facilities and facilities that have been provided to business actors. This is done to ensure that the fiscal and procedural incentives provided by Customs are truly utilized to advance the Indonesian economy.

The Director General of Customs and Excise Heru Pambudi explained, the step taken was to increase supervision of the importation of textiles and textile products (TPT) through the Bonded Logistics Center (PLB). At present, Customs has conducted the existence, responsibility, nature of business, and accountability (ERNA) tests on hundreds of companies in October 2019.

"We have conducted the ERNA test in the period 14-25 October 2019 on 179 companies consisting of 91 TPT companies and 88 other companies," Heru said in a written statement.

From the test results, continued Heru, Customs and Excise had blocked 17 companies.

"We did the blocking because the company was not found, the responsible data was not appropriate, and there were also those that were previously blocked. 14 were TPT companies, while 3 were other companies," Heru added.

In addition, Customs has also blocked 109 companies related to tax compliance. Of these, 54 companies have been unblocked because they have completed their tax obligations, while 55 other companies are still blocked.

In addition to blocking companies that are found to be 'naughty', Customs also sets a red line for high-risk companies that receive goods from PLB, including importers of TPT commodities.

The steps taken by the Customs are a real effort by the government to create an economic climate that is conducive for business people who obey the tax provisions. In addition, Customs also wants to ensure that the facilities provided are right on target and used for the maximum prosperity of the people.
