The Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) Banten said that several companies would move from Banten. Apindo Banten has confirmed that three shoe companies in the Tangerang area have moved because of the high district / city minimum wage.

"It can be information that several industries have conveyed their transfer, especially related to the issue of sectoral wages which are quite large and burdensome to employers," said Apindo Banten Secretary Tomy Rahmatullah, Thursday, November 28, 2019.

Tomy explained that the three companies that were confirmed to be moving from Banten were shoe factories in the Tangerang area. The reason for moving was because the UMK in Tangerang Raya was Rp. 4.1 million

"From the shoe industry, it is in the process of relocating its industry to an area that has a lower MSE than Banten. The textile association also met with the president, and the government will prepare a textile industry in Central Java," he explained.

Noted, UMK in Tangerang Raya, namely Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and Tangsel City, reached Rp4.1 million for 2020.

The Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, said that the abandoned shoe manufacturing industry was not from the Tangerang City area. He made sure the factory in Tangerang City was still operating.

"There is no Tangerang City yet, it is still steady. What is leaving is Tangerang Regency," Arief said.

Arief said that the direction of economic development in the city of Tangerang does not only depend on industry. He asserted the slogan of the City of Tangerang is a city of a thousand million service industries.

"We are again comparing the city of Tangerang with a thousand one million service industries. So we involve developers to prepare services. The factories keep maintaining industrial infrastructure relations we improve, we build," he said.

Arief will spoil the development policy in the city of Tangerang for investors. He hopes investors can invest comfortably in the city of Tangerang.

"I hope this development policy can build infrastructure to help all investments in the city of Tangerang to survive and participate in developing the city," he explained.
