You simply go to a store that has a cloth printing machine or you can buy the machine. For capital you don't need to worry, because this business does not require expensive capital. For this reason, choosing this fashion business is the right choice.

As the data explained above, the fashion business is a promising business seen from the textile industry that will be maximized. So, lest you lose "start" to start a textile business. Because in 2030 Indonesia's target is to become one of the 5 largest textile industries in the world.

The national textile and textile product (TPT) industry needs to innovate in terms of product development, so that it can seize opportunities from current global market trends. Nowadays, textiles currently not only produce products for clothing or clothing, but also develop into a non-clothing textile industry.

"Textile products are also used for construction of toll road infrastructure, agro-textiles, medical to the food and beverage industry, automotive, and other consumption manufacturing," said Sony Sulaksono, Head of the Center for Industrial Technology Research and Development and also Intellectual Property, at the Dissemination event The results of the 2017 Textile Research and Business Gathering in Bandung, Tuesday (10/24).

Referring to data from the Ministry of Industry, the commodity of the non-clothing textile industry has considerable market opportunities. The average increase in the last 5 years is 9.9% per year, with Indonesia's contribution reaching 0.47% of the world's needs.

To produce functional textile products that have quality, according to Sony, it needs to be supported by the results of research and development (R&D) such as that carried out by the Ministry of Industry through the Center for Textile (BBT) Bandung.

"We want to answer consumer expectations that are more than just conventional clothing, but have entered into the realm of functional textiles that have specific characteristics and characteristics according to their functions," he said.

BBT Bandung is one of the work units of the Ministry of Industry under the auspices of the Industrial Research and Development Agency (BPPI). The center has two main tasks, namely the implementation of R&D activities in the textile sector and providing services nan technical services to the textile industry.

Sony also explained about some of the results of textile R&D in 2017 from BBT Bandung which were disseminated, including; mosquito repellent textile made from active microcapsules of lime peel oil, manufacturing anti-bacterial textiles with natural active ingredients from chitosan, and also functional textiles for anti-ultraviolet roofing.

Furthermore, noise control panels from natural fiber materials and textile waste, engineering textiles from denim fabric waste for road casting results, and xanthan gum production from tofu solid waste and xanthomonas bacteria to substitute imported xanthan gum.

"We hope that a number of R&D results can be implemented by the national textile industry so that it will spur its competitiveness and productivity and expand the export market," he said. In addition, R&D activities are also expected to help overcome product diversification and improve production processes and product quality.
