Citarum Harum Task Force Sector 4 / Majalaya Bandung Regency continues to monitor textile factories which are allegedly dumping liquid waste into the Citarum River and tributaries for 24 hours. "We are fostering the community to become partners of the Citarum Harum Task Force to participate in supervising factories that dispose of liquid waste when conditions are critical (flooding or when the water flow is high after heavy rains)," he said.

He said, involving the community in environmental monitoring was due to community concern for the environment. Moreover, the community hopes that the Citarum River water flow will be clean and can be used properly. With the concern of the community will not escape from field monitoring and they are alerted at each river flow in the Majalaya region.

"With the Citarun Harum Task Force fostered partners, the information network automatically when a factory dispose of liquid waste carelessly is not interrupted," said Asep Nurdin. Dansector 4 also emphasized that, during heavy rain, Citarum Harum Task Force personnel continued to monitor and monitor the field.

"When a factory is found to dispose of liquid waste, we take repressive measures by casting liquid waste disposal channels into the river. Besides stopping production until the factory improves the WWTP up to quality standards," he said.

Asep Nurdin further revealed, in the working area of Sector 4 of the Citarum Harum Task Force, 89 factories were recorded that were still actively releasing liquid waste. But if the total is recorded 111 factories, but the rest does not dispose of liquid waste into the river. This means that some of the waste factories do not go out and are processed inside the factory, including starch waste. "The Citarum Harum Task Force is more focused on supervising and monitoring factories that dispose of liquid waste from the remaining immersion," he said.
