The corona virus outbreak in Wuhan (2019-nCoV) certainly affects labor-intensive industries in China, especially garment. This issue opens opportunities for the domestic textile and textile products industry to supply the market vacancies left by China.

This opportunity has been seen and is ready to be captured by PT Pan Brothers Tbk (PBRX).

Pan Brothers Corporate Secretary Iswar Denny said, Pan Brothers will seize the opportunity of China's sales vacuum into several global garment markets.

"There will certainly be opportunities, though not immediately. As for the fastest order transfer, it will take around three months, both for ordering materials and others," he said.

The gap in the market vacancy from China that Pan Brother will capture is in the United States and Europe. Given the current state of emergency and it is impossible for companies there to empty their goods. No matter what, the market must keep going.

Iswar acknowledged that all PBRX's factory capacities are now fully book for regular production. If there are abundant orders from other companies due to a supply vacuum from China, Iswar projects that production could increase by 10% to 15% with overtime.

This is also with a note, buyers can receive products with equivalent raw materials and are available in the market.

As for the corona virus outbreak in Wuhan district, it certainly affected the supply of raw materials to PBRX. Iswar explained last year Pan Brothers imported 15% of the total raw material needs from China.

In the case of the Corona Wuhan virus outbreak that caused the manufacturer's vacation there to be extended, Pan Broters will divert raw material supplies from domestic and other Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Iswar explained, the use of raw materials must definitely be adjusted to those available in the market. "PBRX will adjust and offer products with available materials and ask buyers to decide," he said.
