Indonesia's textile market share in China is quite large. Even the last four years, Indonesia has added apparel to the Bamboo Curtain country. However, the impact of the spread of the corona virus and the shutdown of action in China, Indonesia is estimated to lose Rp 1.4 billion.

Deputy Chairman of the Central Java Indonesian Textile Association (API) Lilik Setiawan explained that population density made China unable to produce labor-intensive industries anymore. Related to apparel. It is important to consider the importance of other countries. "One of them is Indonesia," he said

The Chinese market share is quite promising. Its export value reaches Rp 1.4 billion. But because of the corona outbreak, export activities are increasingly limited. Whereas in 2019, Indonesia's exports reached USD 12.98 billion.

"That's 100 percent. The 12 percent who enter China. I can't say much for sure. Important, corona impact a few percent. But what is clear, is currently the Chinese shutdown. That means we can't send this 12 percent, "he explained.

This reduction in exports is not considered a shortage. Because, if China has begun to open up to the outside world, export activities will return to normal. According to him, export activities were not canceled. Only delayed.

"If May-June has returned, it can also be sent. If it is approved how long, we cannot answer. Because the order is not canceled, just waiting, "he explained.

Overcoming the current situation, Lilik claimed to have taken several steps. He urged exporters to be careful in responding to these thoughts.

"In order to produce less production. With the hope of completing this holiday first. Hopefully not disturbed, "he explained.
