Senior economist Rizal Ramli criticized the planned import of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which was raised by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani. Where previously, Sri said that Indonesia had an obligation to export PPE to partner countries (partners) such as Japan and South Korea in accordance with bilateral agreements that were agreed before the outbreak of the corona virus.

"I heard about the PPE import plan. Even though Indonesia has Sritex. NATO order from them (Sritex). We can ask Sritex to make it according to need. Give 3% profit, they will be happy, "said Rizal.

As is known, Sri Mulyani said, Indonesia will export personal protective equipment (PPE) to countries that have employment contracts with Indonesia.

"Indonesia is one of the largest PPE producer countries in the world, we will try to fulfill contracts with other countries without sacrificing domestic PPE needs," Sri said.

On the occasion of the discussion, Rizal also mentioned there was a suspicion of a game in the supply of medical devices (Alkes).

What Rizal explained, was also previously conveyed by the Minister of State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) namely Erick Thohir, that there is a mafia of medical devices that has the opportunity to take advantage of difficult conditions in the midst of this co-19 pandemic.

Therefore, the Ministry of SOEs will be the front party to fight the practice by synergizing SOEs so that they can produce medical equipment and raw materials.
