Domestic Textiles Dominates Makassar Craft and Fashion Week

Some fashion and textile archipelago exhibited at Makassar Craft and Fashion Week (MCWF) which took place at Sandeq Ballroom Clarion Hotel, starting Thursday 5 October to 8 October.

 

Six models of striped clothes with cloth typical of East Nusa Tenggara are exhibited. Starting from the channel model combined with the beads and added lace decoration is one of the fashion models from NTT.

 

In addition, there is Sulawesi batik fashion that is designed in such a way with the concept of modern ethnic. Using cloth lipa'sa'be combined with typical batik lontara writing and Toraja fabric make Sulawesi fashion textiles look bright in the fashion show, Friday, October 5th.

 

The Sulawesi designer Ayu Gani said the style and model of lipa'sa'be, lontara writing and typically Sulawesi fabrics are an attraction and a way of introducing the distinctive culture and style of each region in Sulawesi. Thus, other areas can see and know.

 

"This time in MCWF there are 6 models that I show in the Fashion Show is the ethnic model with batik mixed cloth typical of Sulawesi, such as South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Central Sulawesi," he said, when met at the clarion Hotel.

 

The event that was held by the Indonesian Businessmen's Association (IWAPI) South Sulawesi along with the Indonesian Fashion Designers Association (APPMI) of South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi), in addition to showcase craft, fashion and textiles, will also feature MCWF's top model selection.

 

 

Tekstil Nusantara Mendominasi Makassar Craft and Fashion Week

 

Beberapa fashion dan tekstil nusantara dipamerkan pada Makassar Craft and Fashion Week (MCWF) yang berlangsung di Sandeq Ballroom Clarion Hotel, mulai Kamis 5 Oktober hingga 8 Oktober.

 

Enam model baju bermotif garis-garis dengan kain khas Nusa Tenggara Timur dipamerkan. Mulai dari model terusan dipadukan dengan manik-manik dan ditambah hiasan berenda merupakan salah satu model fashion dari NTT.

 

Selain itu, ada fashion batik Sulawesi yang didesain sedemikian rupa dengan konsep etnik modern. Menggunakan kain lipa'sa'be dipadukan dengan batik khas tulisan lontara serta kain Toraja menjadikan tekstil fashion Sulawesi terlihat cerah di fashion show, Jumat, 5 Oktober.

 

Desainer Sulawesi, Ayu Gani, mengatakan, corak dan model lipa'sa'be, tulisan lontara dan kain Khas Sulawesi merupakan daya tarik dan salah satu cara pengenalan budaya serta corak khas tiap daerah di Sulawesi. Sehingga, daerah lain bisa melihat dan mengetahui.

 

"Kali ini di MCWF ada 6 model yang saya perlihatkan di Fashion Show-nya yakni model etnik dengan batik dicampur kain khas daerah Sulawesi, seperti Sulsel, Sulbar, dan Sulteng," tuturnya, saat ditemui di clarion Hotel.

 

Event yang dadakan oleh Ikatan Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia (IWAPI) Sulawesi Selatan bersama dengan Asosiasi Pengusaha Perancang Mode Indonesia (APPMI) Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) ini selain menampilkan showcase craft, fashion, dan tekstil, juga akan menampilkan pemilihan top model MCWF.
