Menperin Optimist Japan's Investment Flow in Indonesia Increases

The Ministry of Industry continues to work with Japan in cooperation aimed at technological development and innovation, human resources, and small and medium industries (IKM) in Indonesia.


 

"We always say, Indonesia has a huge domestic market potential, especially at the ASEAN level," said Minister Perindustria, Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta, Monday (16/10/2017).

 

In addition, Airlangga added, to improve the investment climate in Indonesia, the government has issued several packages of economic policies that aim to facilitate the business for investors.

 

"I am optimistic about the increase of investment flows of industrial sector that will enter in Indonesia especially from Japan," said Minister of Industry.

 

Kemenperin noted, in 2016, the total foreign investment recorded reached USD16, 68 billion. Meanwhile, the value of Japanese investment to Indonesia amounted to USD5, 4 billion in 2016 or an increase of 86 percent over the previous year which reached USD2, 9 billion.

 

The number of Japanese companies in Indonesia to date more than 1,750 companies, with its business activities in manufacturing, infrastructure and services. Several Japanese manufacturing sectors are quite active in investing in Indonesia, including the automotive industry, metal, machinery and electronics.

 

"This is also supported by the number of supporting facilities in conducting business in the country, including deregulation or simplification of policies, infrastructure development and industrial estate, as well as providing fiscal incentives in the form of tax allowance and tax holiday," said Airlangga.

 

 

Menperin Optimis Arus Investasi Jepang di Indonesia Meningkat

 

 

Kementerian Perindustrian terus berupaya menggandeng Jepang dalam kerja sama yang menyasar pada pengembangan teknologi dan inovasi, sumber daya manusia, serta industri kecil dan menengah (IKM) di Indonesia.

 

"Kami selalu sampaikan, Indonesia memiliki potensi pasar domestik yang sangat besar terutama di tingkat ASEAN," ujar Menteri Perindustria, Airlangga Hartarto di Jakarta, Senin (16/10/2017).

 

Selain itu, Airlangga menambahkan, untuk meningkatkan iklim investasi di Indonesia, pemerintah telah mengeluarkan beberapa paket kebijakan ekonomi yang tujuannya mempermudah usaha bagi para investor.

 

"Saya optimistis terhadap peningkatan arus investasi sektor industri yang akan masuk di Indonesia khususnya dari Jepang," ucap Menperin.

 

Kemenperin mencatat, pada tahun 2016, penanaman modal asing secara keseluruhan tercatat mencapai USD16,68 miliar. Sedangkan, nilai investasi Jepang ke Indonesia sebesar USD5,4 miliar pada tahun 2016 atau naik 86 persen dibanding tahun sebelumnya yang mencapai USD2,9 miliar.

 

Jumlah perusahaan Jepang di Indonesia hingga saat ini lebih dari 1.750 perusahaan, dengan kegiatan usahanya di bidang manufaktur, infrastruktur dan jasa. Beberapa sektor manufaktur Jepang yang cukup aktif berinvestasi di Indonesia, antara lain industri otomotif, logam, mesin dan elektronika.

 

"Hal ini lantaran pula didukung dengan banyaknya fasilitas penunjang dalam menjalankan bisnis di Tanah Air, meliputi deregulasi atau penyederhanaan kebijakan-kebijakan, pembangunan infrastruktur dan kawasan industri, serta pemberian insentif fiskal berupa tax allowance dan tax holiday," ungkap Airlangga.
