Clean Citarum Program President Jokowi followed up Kemenko Maritime reap the attention of the Association of Manufacturers of Fiber and Yarn Filament Indonesia.

Secretary General of Filament Indonesia Fiber and Filament Association, Redma Gita Wirawasta stated that his party strongly supports the government program. But it should be done fairly and objectively, especially related to the industry that is considered pollute Citarum.

According to him, the textile industry in its production process needs water and produces waste water that is returned to the river, but that does not mean all the textile industry pollutes the Citarum. "Some of them are environmentally conscious and have a sewage treatment unit," Redma explained in a press statement on Monday (5/2).

APSyFI supports the steps taken by the government in cracking down on the polluting industries of the Citarum River. "If already given a warning is still stubborn and can not be fostered, yes closed course" he said. But it also reminded the government that in some cases this program began to be ridden political interests.

In the case of PT South Pacific Viscose (SPV), for example, this company is not on the list of names of Citarum pollutants issued by the Combined Citarum Harum Joint Survey Team. "But suddenly the Purwakarta Regent accused the company of contaminating the Citarum," said Redma.

APSyFI asks the government to evaluate and take action in an objective manner by the Ministry of Environment team based on fact data and facts in the field and lab test results
